My NUT wants me to have 80 grams of Protein including 2 shakes and 3 small meals a day. I can barely get in 1 shake and a couple of meals. I am 6 weeks out and back to regular foods. how much protein does everyone else get?

I was getting 50-60g by the 5th day. Consistent 60+g by 2 months and probably 80-100g by 6 months. 30-40g from a Protein smoothie and the rest from food.< /p>

I'm having a horrible time with my protein! I'm 6 weeks out and on full food. whey Protein makes me sick, so I have not had a shake in quite a while. I'm running about 40-50g Protein per day. My NUT wanted me at 85g/day. I read somewhere yesterday that taking in too little protein could result in a stall/slow-down, and I'm worried about that. Has anyone heard of that?

Last night I sat and worked out a schedule for meals/snacks, but I'm not sure I'll get all my Water in with the 30/30 rule and eating so often. This is no longer as easy as I have been making it!..... or am I making the eating plan too complicate?

I am almost 6 weeks post op am suppose to get 60grams in a day, I usually get between 70-80. My doc wants me doing two shakes and one meal a day. Most days I eat my meal at dinnertime with my family.

With this program I have no problem getting in my Protein and liquids in a day.

I am almost 6 weeks out. My NUT said 60-80 and I usually get less than 70 per day. I usually have half of a shake to one shake per day (depends on the day) and then just eat as much Protein as I possibly can for the rest of the day. Usually it works out to 60 or close.

I'm twelve days out. Having a hard time forcing myself to eat or drink. What a new experience. Lol. Getting in 45 g of Protein with effort. Praying my hair won't fall out.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
