Im pre op but have had my gall bladder out.

Having gall stones was one of the most excruciating pains I have had.

When I had an attack the pain radiated around my upper belly (under breasts) and around my back. I also had sharp stabbing pains in my shoulder blade constantly.

The pain felt like my insides were being squeezed and set on fire.

When I was not having an attack it was a mild dull ache all the time until I finally had my gall bladder removed. What a relief that was!

Does any food bring on this pain? As fatty oily sugary foods will make your gall bladder contract and if you have stones its squeezing on the stones, hence the pain.

I've had gallstones (from hell) and had it removed. My pain never went around to my back. It stayed right at my diaphragm. Omg does it hurt! I had little pain from the sleeve surgery and no gas. However around the time out that you are, I experienced this weird pain/pressure in my diaphragm. I figure it was trapped gas. It went away. Hope you're feeling better!

My gallbladder pains were almost all in my back and were horrible (ended up in a fetal postion on the floor most of the time). From what I remember, the attacks can be different levels of pain and completely different areas from person to person.

That being said, if the pain is unlike anything you've experienced up until now, absolutely call your doctor and get in to see them ASAP to rule out anything serious.
