Pain at the bottom of the ribcage

Today is Wednesday. Monday night, pretty much all night, I was vomiting. First time I've been sick like that since surgery. I think I've had a virus, because my hubs is doing it now.

Anyway, today I have pain around me, right at the bottom of the ribcage. Only feel it when o cough or laugh or something like that.

So, is ur likely sore muscles from all the vomming, or did I vom so hard I've created a leak? I see my surgeon on Friday, but should I call in now?

I wonder if it's the enterovirus or pneumonia? I would for sure go in and see your doctor even if it's your family doc just to get an xray if necessary to rule it out. I hope you feel better soon!

Calling is always a great idea. The most likely cause of your pain is a pulled intercostal (between the ribs) muscle. I hope you and your husband feel better soon. Keep us posted and let us know what your surgeon says.
