Luvin_Life125 558 Posted December 2, 2014 I am just moving to soft foods and I have had refried Beans, string cheese, and tuna salad. None of these foods were things I ate occasionally pre op but they weren't favorites or must haves. Now they taste absolutely amazing! I was sleeved on 11/11. I can't wait to expand my diet further and eat something tastier than Protein Shakes. Mentally I am having a little difficulty reconciling the amount of food I can eat with how much I mentally want to eat. I am listening to my stomach and telling my head too bad and it needs to relearn food and nutrition! It will eventually listen

SuperDave 1,115 Posted December 2, 2014 I have had the same issue with my head vs. my stomach. It is getting easier though. My head hasn't won the battle yet!
JerzyTomato74 91 Posted December 2, 2014 That's great! I went to soft foods last week and I was like a kid in a candy store! LOL For some reason the first thing I wanted was egg salad. I ate refried Beans with a little salsa and shredded cheese and the ricotta bake for my dinners almost every night. I also have the same problem with getting around only eating until I'm full when my head sees more food in the bowl and doesn't want to waste it. So far, so good though! JCP 619 Posted December 5, 2014 In no time, your head will relent, I promise. Now when I see an ad for a big burger, or eat out and see the giant portions, I feel kind of repulsed by it. Your whole attitude will change. Don't worry! Give it time.
