My surgery is December 15. I'm worried that I am going to be a pathetic mess at Christmas for my kids. Every year I host our large family Christmas on Christmas Eve. I've said I can't do it this year, but will I even be able to go?? Just across town....

Yes you should be able to go out. I had my surgery on the 24th of November just before Thanksgiving and I did just fine. Just remember why youre having the surgery and food will not be a problem.

Hi flossyjo, and welcome to the forums! Everyone heals at a different rate, and part of that can be connected to what type of surgery you're having- is it a bypass, sleeve or band? No one can predict how you'll fare through your procedure or when you come home from the hospital, but maybe a family get-together could be just what you need to lift your spirits & Celebrate this new chapter in your life!
