igotthis98 41 Posted December 1, 2014 Good afternoon everyone, Today is my first day back at work since surgery. I am a bit tired but other than that, feeling okay. I was just told that my boss wants to take very important clients out to Celebrate a promotion we recently completed with them, to dinner! The dinner is scheduled for the 4th which is a full week before I am scheduled to start regular food, right now I am just staring the puree stage. I don't think it will be a good idea to not go to this dinner, as it will not look great for me professionally, but I am at a loss thinking about how I will be able to go out and eat and not look crazy for not eating what everyone else is. Anyone have suggestions?!
Julie norton 2,850 Posted December 1, 2014 It has been years but I do recall having Soup while I was out.. Said either I'm not too hungry. Or My stomach has been a little off today If you don't make a big deal about it. They shouldn't notice.. we hope Good luck

Inner Surfer Girl 12,015 Posted December 1, 2014 Call ahead and see what is on the menu so you can plan and not worry about it. Enjoy yourself.
briefs199 337 Posted December 2, 2014 Try to pick the restaurant so you can look at the menu ahead of time and pick the place with the best choices for you
gowalking 10,790 Posted December 2, 2014 I was also going to suggest you check the menu first...and if all else fails, have Soup and you can tell them any kind of little lie. Say you're not that hungry, or you are having a procedure and need to just be on liquids...something like that. I have found in the almost two years that I've been banded, most folks are only interested in what is happening with them and their food...not what's happening with you and your food. Don't worry so much...most people don't notice anything beyond their own meal.
