bobbyswife 862 Posted December 1, 2014 I am one of those people that has hiccups ALL. THE. TIME. I also have a tendency to burp a lot. I'm wondering if any of you did this a lot pre-op and if it changed or stayed the same post op. I do not, nor have I ever had trouble with reflux, just hiccups. bobbyswife 862 Posted December 1, 2014 I'm hoping to hear from people that have been post op for a while now and had lots of hiccups prior to surgery. I'm aware of the gas post op, I'm more asking about regular hiccups and gas not related to surgery.
roundisashape 712 Posted December 1, 2014 hmm...well, my pre-op nurse said she NEVER had hiccups, and in the year she's been post op she gets them like clockwork every afternoon. I hope your hiccups go away!

Rogofulm 2,440 Posted December 2, 2014 Hiccups are my sign that something got stuck - usually a hunk of chicken that didn't get chewed enough or was a little too dry. Sometimes it goes on down, and sometimes it comes back up (perhaps even aided by a finger). And then the hiccups go away.
