My sleeve date was 11-4. I went to my first post op apt on 11-19 and was down 17lbs. I was happy. However I seem to have stalled but remain on track while trying to enjoy the baby food stage lol one step at a time. I don't feel my friendly scale has moved much HOWEVER. I did manage to pull a pair of jeans from the closet that are 4yeArs and many sizes smaller than I've been wearing. I looked at them last week and said I'll Hang on to them because I want to get back in those one day. So tonight before bed I thought I would give them a try. Zipped and fastened! OM gollywompers! I can not express the joy that came to me with that final zip. I had been in 26 or 28 jeans these are 20s I was in 30-32 shirt and found my sister left her xl sweater here that I put on to find it fits. Needless to say my sister lost her sweater. I am so happy with this little sleeve I could just jump for joy.!

Congrats! Seems like everyone has a stall at 3 weeks. I'm preparing myself for that!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
