jcmo 40 Posted March 5, 2015 Yes it was done at The Civic. I thought you guys would get a laugh out of the burping, etc. but it's TRUE!! Let me tell you, it's amazing how satisfying a good burp or fart it. Let me tell you. TMI but by the time you are done you really don't care. I was the only one released that was done that day. The other 2 patients had to stay. My roommate wasn't doing as well, and she lived a far ways away.
Tintin 23 Posted March 6, 2015 @@jcmo : How are you feeling? Has the burping and farting stopped? I sure hope for you that you are feeling better and that you are starting to enjoy your new beginning. Better days are ahead now!
jcmo 40 Posted March 7, 2015 @tintin. I'm doing really well. Still burping but that's about it. FYI burping and hiccuping together HURTS! Pain is pretty minimal. Only taking tylenol about every 12 hours or so. I got to start Protein Shakes this morning. Woohoo! It's a chore trying to get all the fluids in. I have been out and about. My family can't believe I just had surgery 3days ago. ???????? feeling good!????????????
anewme15 40 Posted March 11, 2015 Hi, how's everyone one doing post surgery ?
jcmo 40 Posted March 12, 2015 @@anewme15 I'm doing fantastic post surgery. Had my follow up yesterday. The nurse was very happy with me. I've been getting in my water/protein every day. No nausea/vomiting. 4put of my 5 incisions are pretty much healed up. She teasingly asked if I was sure I had surgery. Lol. There is hardly any pain, except in the big incision on the left side and that's only if I move the wrong way. And now I get to move on to purée foods. Woohoo! kcadoret 81 Posted March 20, 2015 Congrats @@Tintin on getting a surgery date so fast!! My surgery is on March 26th. I'm having a rough go of the Optifast so can't wait for it to be done!
jcmo 40 Posted March 20, 2015 @kcadoret. The Optifast is really hard. I had a breakdown at about day 10. You can do it. Drink the broth and sf Popsicles and Jello. It will help. I can't say it gets better but you will get thru it. And just wait til after surgery. food doesn't taste the same. Or even good. ???? that's my issue right now. It's hard to get all the Protein and fluids in. Just keep up the good work. You can do it! You WILL do it!????????????
