Lori Ann 0 Posted May 18, 2007 Congratulations, What pain medicine did they give you and was it liquid? I will be banded on Thursday, May 24th. My surgeon is Dr. Scott Steinberg at Dekalb Medical Center in Decatur, Georgia (20 miles outside of Atlanta). Let me know how you are doing. I hear the first few days are the roughest. msnaynay 0 Posted May 18, 2007 Thank you, I was given liquid hydrocodone that is to ber taken every 4-6 hrs. Trying to get my liquid in is the hardest part. It is true what people say you dont really get hungry but u have to eat or shall i say sip to get your nutrients in.
Melissa S 1 Posted May 18, 2007 Not to worry... I was banded on 5/14... the bariatric RN called me yesterday (she had bipass done a couple years ago) just to check up on me... I was also worried about not getting in all of my Protein and fluids in...she said not to worry TOO much about not getting in 100% of the Protein or fluids for the first couple of days... she said we would be way to swollen to be able to get it ALL in... but just do your best. Iluvharleys 15 Posted May 18, 2007 Welcome to LBT and to bandland! It gets better with each day. If you don't need the pain meds then don't take them. I didn't use them after I got home. Good Luck!
