Just when I thought I could not get any more humiliated

Recommended Posts

I decided to take my kids to one of those trampoline places today. Thought it would be a fun calorie burning thing to do.

My kids were jumping in the foam pit (a big pit full of foam cubes). They wanted mommy to do it too. Brazen with my 35lb loss I did it and it was fun...

Until I realized I could not get myself out of there. It took 2 big guy workers to pull my arms and that was with a hanging step they put in the pit for me to use to get out but I could not swing my other leg over. It was a 15 minute totally embarrassing ordeal and I'm thoroughly horrified. Thank god my kids are so young they were blissfully clueless.

I hate being the fat mom. No more!!!

I'm proud of you for taking risks. We deserve joy and fun. I'm sorry for the struggle and embarrassment at the end, but soon those incidents will be a thing of the past. Keep LIVING!

Have fun with those kids -- you rock! And yes, motivation indeed. I am so much happier being a "normal" size now but given the arthritis, etc. I doubt I would have been able to get out of there either. And I work out! Keep that sense of humor. And keep the image -- it will help you resist temptation.

It takes time but at least you did try it & soon you won't need assistance.

I agree with every one else, while other moms are busy doing something, you're the mom playing with your kids! That's awesome and that's what they'll remember too!

Thanks everyone. When my husband got home my 3 year old said Mommy got stuck in the ball pit!!! I was found out by Hubby. So much for keeping it quiet. Now his teacher will know, my nanny, the next door neighbor... Can't stop kids' mouths!!! Lol

Don't worry, your day will come....I can now do things, and sometimes better, than people half my age...

Not many people remember me when I was fat....

A new life awaits....

You have the power to banish this bad experience from your life forever. Once you lose all your weight go back to the same place and jump into that pit for all your worth! Make a point of having someone take a picture when you do and proudly display it in your home front and center. The very thought of conquering your demon should give you inspiration to get down to the weight you want to be in no time. Turn that lemon into lemonade!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
