Is the nutribullet safe to purchase for making healthy drinks after having bypass

Recommended Posts

It has been 3months since my surgery and ofcourse I have lost over 60lbs. I am thinking of purchasing the nutribullet but the last time I was with my nutritionist she stated no juices. Which I did not ask her why wishing I did because I really thought that y would be ok to make healthy drinks can anyone tell me why no juice or is it ok for me to get the nutribullet.

A nutribullet isn't a juicer. It is more a personal sized blended and would be great to purchase. Typically when "no juices" is said, it is referring to fruit juice as it is so sugary/ full of carbs. However, making shakes is a great way to get your Protein in. You can also look up hand blenders or immersed blenders.

This is a great idea for you. I bought one soon after surgery and use it for making my Unjury shakes. Also good for plain yogurt and berries. You can use frozen berries of any type. Just don't add sugar. Good luck.

Hello! I hope you are still doing great! I am over 10 years after roux en y bypass and just bought a nutribullet rx. AND, I posted a very similar question on the veterans forum just a bit ago. I am still looking to be sure that it is okay to use it as I remember that I can't absorb all things like I used to be able to do pre-surgery. HAVE YOU TOLD YOUR ACTUAL NUTRITIONIST ABOUT IT AND WHAT DID SHE SAY? Thank you in advance!!!!

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
