That's great. I have found that different herbal teas help me when I feel like I have a headache or when I am feeling sluggish. What are your pick-me-ups?

Hot Lemon tea is my go to when I feel blah.. I also love green tea with some ginger and lemon in it. No sugar.. It give me a little pick me up. Also something I haven't done since I got big but would always down when I was smaller and down was go out horse back riding. Gosh I miss it. I can't wait to get back out there..

I loved it when I was smaller so I'm hoping I can get back into it. We have a friend with some horses who live just down the road from us so maybe when I lose a little more I can go visit and ride.

Are you eating okay? I'm having to force my self to eat then after eating I want to puke. I've been afraid to talk to anyone about it. I'm on soft foods and anything I've tried to eat us soft. But I still have to force it down.

I would just keep pushing through it and try to get in as much Protein as possible. In some sense you have to push yourself a little bit because it is part of the healing process but just remember not to push yourself too much. I remember when I got on soft foods I would take two bites of yogurt and be full and content for the whole day. I would just continue to try your best but don't make yourself miserable.

I know its part of the process of eating less at each meal. I guess I just didn't get that two bites and I'd be full all day.. Do you ever get a pain in your chest if you eat or drink to fast. Its happened a few times I keep forgetting to ask if anyone else has had that? (Fibro makes me brain dead some days..) I bought a few baby foods yesterday along with yogurt.

Yes I have felt the chest pain if you eat/drink too fast. I still experience that, I'm not sure if it ever goes away. The pain is less intense now though so it definitely gets better with time.

What are you wanting to take? I'm pretty sure you can take an alkaseltzer night time. I did, however I would still recommend asking your doctor before taking anything.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
