johnmickd 0 Posted November 29, 2014 Greetings All, My name is John and I am getting ready for my sleeve in about 9 days. I am incredibly nervous, but not so much about the surgery. I'm kind of a foodie, which has been part of the reason that I've allowed myself to balloon up to almost 300lbs. I am excited to be a part of a group of people who have or will have experienced this as well. I'm currently doing my pre-op diet and my wife raised the question to me... I feel like the doctor told me that Part Skim Ricotta was ok as part of if, but now I'm second guessing myself.
alwaysvegas 702 Posted November 29, 2014 Hi John-- Pre-op diets vary, so it's hard to say what exactly is right or wrong for what your surgeon asked for. Most liquid-only pre-op diets do not allow for cheese. However, some pre-op diets are not liquid-only and are low-cal, low-fat, low-carb oriented. Bet of luck on your journey! johnmickd 0 Posted November 30, 2014 Thank you. I'm getting more nervous about the perception of what I can have after the sleeve. My doctor told me that in time I'll be able to enjoy the things I LOVE now (ie. Pasta, pizza, wings, Chinese food, beer, etc.) but in much greater moderation. Is that accurate?
