Treatment for gastritis and Helicobacter pylori before Gastric Sleeve surgery?

Hey guys! So, yesterday i took my endoscopy results to my dr. He said that before giving me a surgery date y needed get a 10 day treatment for gastritis and helicobacter pylori. has anyone had to get this done?

im so excited to get this over with and finally get a surgery date!

I had my endoscopy done over a month ago and my doctor diagnosed me with gastritis at that time. She put me on Protonix everyday until my surgery on Dec. 12th.

It's very common. The treatment is usually 2 different antibotics for 10 days, as well as a daily PPI to reduce acid and irritation while you're on antibiotics. Untreated H. Pylori can be problematic when undiagnosed or untreated properly. You'll do fine.
