nprcowboy 533 Posted December 1, 2014 Ok saw my actual surgeon for first time and I am scheduled for EGD tomorrow. So we will see. I'm tolerating fluids a lot better today. So antibiotics and other meds must be working as they are treating that h pylori

Kathy812 794 Posted December 1, 2014 I signed in to specifically check on you. I read your post last night but didn't have time to respond. I am so, so sorry to hear you are going through this. I, too,was diagnosed with H. pylori prior to surgery and treated for three weeks with antibiotics, I had no symptoms. Hopefully, from this day forward things only get better. You will be in my prayers.

Nevermind 117 Posted December 2, 2014 I'm praying for your healing. I am so glad now that my insurance didn't pay for my surgery and thus I went to Texas to Dr. Nicholson. Tampa General Bariatric Center is a joke. After reading this thread, I remembered that when I met with the surgeon that the walls were so thin that my husband and I could hear every single word of the patient in the next room, which of course is a privacy issue, when I mentioned it to the nurse she said that they were having the walls "redone" because the contractor cut corners to save money. Well it was newly finished! They took my deposit, didn't check my insurance, stiffed me... the staff was horrible, particularly the administration staff. Sorry to be "off topic" slightly, but I feel like the Lord saved me from going to this place. Sounds like they don't have their act together. I hope you and your wife are okay.... nprcowboy 533 Posted December 3, 2014 Ok update. My wife's surgery went well and is resting. I'm not doing the best either. EGD showed a hernia in my esophagus. Anyone know what they do for that? I got a fever today and am very weak. After 40 oz of fluids yesterday only 3 today. I'm on oxygen for shortness of breath.even sitting up or going to restroom makes me almost collapse from exertion. Yesterday I took long walks. Even this morning. This is all post EGD
