be_satisfied 7 Posted November 28, 2014 I'm thinking about getting a personal blender, like the nutri - bullet. Is this something I will use much post-op?

coastalchick 61 Posted November 28, 2014 I am due to have surgery in December, and I went ahead and got the Vitamix....omg, that thing is amazeballs. No lumps, everything has an awesome consistancy, I have even done Soups, and sorbets in it. The only downside, is it sounds like a jet engine when you go full speed..... it's crazy powerfull. I didn't shell out the full money though, I got a reburished on for much less on the vitamix website itself, and it comes with a 5 year warranty. If you opt for a vitamix, make sure you get it through the website, I have heard problems with the warranty if not purchased through vitamix.
Amyllf2 206 Posted November 30, 2014 We have a Ninja system. Good price at costco. I don't necessarily use it because of the WLS. My family makes smoothies every day. I am trying to up my calories to level off my weight loss so I will be using it more. I did not buy it for my puree or mush food stage. If that's your only need then it's a waste of money. tamg26k 479 Posted November 30, 2014 I bought the Ninja mega kitchen system back in April and I use it every day, sometimes twice a day. I love it! It was one of the best purchases I made. I would suggest getting something with high rpm (higher than the Nutri-bullet) - the Ninja and Vitamix are the best. I use it for my Protein shakes obviously but the other uses are endless. It stays out on the counter and gets plenty of use.
