Hockey momma 3 Posted November 25, 2014 Hi, I am just 2 months post op and am experiencing spotting almost 3-4x a week with cramping. I had an ablation several years ago so I do not usually bleed...ever. My doc really doesn't know what to think of it. Onto the achy bones...I take all my Vitamins and supplements. I drink my Protein and eat really well. I went through a a period of waking up hours before my alarm went off with tons of energy and now I am dragging myself out of bed every day. My body hurts, my bones ache and head/neck are sore all the time. I know this was a huge surgery and my body is adapting but any suggestions on adding supplements to combat this achy-ness? I have lost 28 lbs so far....down three sizes of pants/clothes. Thx! J
RedDirtRoads 64 Posted November 25, 2014 I'm only 12 days out, just wondering how far post-op you are?

jenbaby75 283 Posted November 25, 2014 I have heard that sometimes as we lose a lot of weight, out muscles, tendons, and ligaments can't keep up, and it causes pain. Our posture changes, all sorts of things you just wouldn't think of. Take it easy, eventually things will catch up, and your muscles will get used to new postures. Engteacher 158 Posted November 26, 2014 How long ago was your ablation? I had one a few years back only to require a hysterectomy about a year later. In the healing, my uterine lining sort of, I don't know how to describe it, folded onto itself and healed badly. I suffered for a good six months before I realized I needed to go back and see exactly what was going on. I had an ultrasound where they found the problem and was all better in a few weeks time. Hope you feel better soon.
thesuse2000 698 Posted November 26, 2014 Have your thyroid levels been checked out? I've got an under-active thyroid and my levels got way off after surgery. Had to reduce my dosage actually. But when my levels are off I experience changes to my cycle, joint pain and changes in energy levels (among other things) so might be worth checking out.
