I have been going through so many changes with my weight the up and down scale. You try everything but it may work just for a little while, you see yourself as a be big fat person with no will power. I hate people when they say you just need to cut back or why don't you do something about it. People talk but they don't know my story. Sometimes it best to just walk away and pray because people can cut through you and mostly it's your family. Prayer works because I am going for surgery on December 9th. Please pray for me.

@@angewil60 what you say about family is sooooooooooooo true. A lot of people want to criticize but don't want to be advocates when it comes to a solution.

Walking away and praying is really the best you can do. Especially at family gatherings when things can quickly escalate to nuclear levels

Today was hard , thank God I have people like you that really understand all your mind goes through. My family all they see is weight loss and the fact you will weigh less then they, they do not see all what could happen and all the things that you will and are facing. You see my diabetes can be control no more c-pap and many other issues that weight is related to. People don't see that they just think that it's all about just being small. My family some have Han some type of surgery but most have put the weight back on and others just think you are going to lose or look better than they do. I am blessed to have my husband and my children to support me but most of all I have Gods protection all around me. I am very blessed and I am praying for all of us as we go through each day. That we learn to look at our e and learn how to LOVE yourself and your body. Keep you in all my prayers.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
