AmandaKay 0 Posted November 24, 2014 I recently decided that I did not want to be larger than everyone in the room anymore so I had the lap band surgery. I am doing okay so far however I have this awful pain in my left shoulder everytime I eat. It doesnt matter if I eat 2 bites or a lot, IT HURTS!!! I'm not sure what to do :-(
Keeper 218 Posted November 24, 2014 Hi AmandaKay, how long ago did you have your surgery? The shoulder pain is common, although I feel lucky to say that i ONLY experienced it the day of surgery. But it was excruciating! There are many boards and posts about the shoulder pain and different options include sitting up when sleeping, walking frequently, using GasX (or equivalent), rotating shoulder, etc. Again, I can't attest to these, but I do wish you lots of health and less pain! 1Corinthians6:19 53 Posted November 24, 2014 It's gas. I highly recommend sleeping on an incline and gasX strips.
Dragon Lady 59 Posted November 24, 2014 I used a back massager and it really helped the gas pain!

AmandaKay 0 Posted December 2, 2014 Thanks for the tips everyone, the pain seems to have gotten a lot better, as well as the vomitting. I just had surgery in October and it has really taken some getting use to.
