Sweetpea13 9 Posted November 24, 2014 I was sleeved on Wed. Nov. 19. I'm feeling great but I am hungry. I was placed by my doc as the other sleevers are, on a liquid diet for 2 weeks post-op. I did great on the pre-op diet which was for 10 days. No hunger, lost 10 lbs...but now I find that I am starving and Popsicles just aren't cutting it. I thought my hunger switch got turned off from this surgery. I need to add Protein Shakes to this diet and will try tomorrow but my system can't seem to hold on to anything. But I think the shakes will make me fill fuller. OK. I just worked through that. Lol! Let me know if you have any thoughts. Thanks!
SuperDave 1,115 Posted November 24, 2014 The shakes will definitely help. And pureed food is in the near future. Hang in there. You got this!

Packerfan61964 293 Posted November 24, 2014 i used Protein Powder and made my shakes thicker so I could use a spoon and eat it instead of drinking it and it helped with my hunger issues

pedrosmommy 8 Posted November 24, 2014 When I was really early out like you the best thing in the world was beef flavor Top Roman obviously not the noodles but boil them with the seasoning mix it does make a difference. I don't know what it was about that broth that just felt and tasted like a filling meal, try it out I know the clear liquid stage is difficult but keep sipping all day, good luck
fairytale1379 2 Posted November 24, 2014 1st possibility - Surgery will only remove 80-90% of hunger hormone GHRELIN. 2nd possibility – sometimes the acid reflus imitates hunger. 3rd possibility – this may be a head hunger/ phycology Just stick to your diet. and drink a lot of Protein shakes. Hope this helps you.
