Suzzann 25 Posted November 23, 2014 I am starting to get anxious about Thanksgiving and Christmas. I think my mom started buying food a month ago. We are having 7 people for Thanksgiving. The comment from yesterday was: We are going to have a turkey but I think we also need a whole ham and not just the shank portion. How are you going to handle the pressure this year? finediva 979 Posted November 23, 2014 Eat my Protein and drink Water, just like any normal day. No anxiety over here.
Elode 8,093 Posted November 23, 2014 @@Suzzann I don't have an appetite but thanksgiving is my first day of "real" food so I'm going to just put a bite of different things on my plate, start with the Protein and go from there....I'm not going to push it, my family all know so they are expecting me to not eat much...no pressure there
IcanMakeit 1,318 Posted November 24, 2014 I am cooking a traditional Thanksgiving meal and my daughter will be bringing one of her excellent cakes. But I'm really not worried. I'm still in weight loss mode and am not really tempted to go too far off track. Luckily for me, I can cook and my husband is a professionally trained chef. I don't have to load up on holidays because I could have good food available to me anytime. So the holiday doesn't feel like an occasion to throw caution to the wind. I'll probably go above the normal day's intake, but not too seriously. This is what I hoped for when I got WLS: the ability to enjoy a taste without going overboard.
