tangotony72 0 Posted November 23, 2014 I wear a cpap at night and I have noticed that I find myself wearing it while awake also during the day since surgery. Am I slowing down my recovery by doing this? I do the spiral res therapy every hour and try to walk for 10 min at least every 2 hrs. It's not that I can't breath but I find it much easier and relaxing w cpap on. I'm prob a little dehydrated as well as I am still learning how to get my fluids in. laurenella82 625 Posted November 23, 2014 Have you talked to your doctor?? You should speak with them to make sure it's not something more serious or unrelated to your surgery.
Thenewnic 139 Posted November 23, 2014 I'm two days post op and just talk to the nurse with my surgeon 's group. I'm having discomfort when I take a deep breath and chest is really tight with discomfort. She said it's just the gas that however if I have any shortness of breath that could be a pulmonary embolism so you would definitely need to have it checked out. But she said gas should pass by third day..so I'd definitely check with your surgeon if you still have.
