Hi everyone, I am one month post op and in the dreaded stall. My stall has been going on for 2 weeks. i have seen lots of threads on the stall, but not Much on how to end it. Will it stop on its own, and if so, when? Or what did people do to end the stall? I would appreciate any Advice?

Just follow your program carefully and wait. Put the scale away if it is stressing you out (stress is bad for weight loss!). Patience and time are the only known cures ^_^

Ditto. Stalls are normal and nothing you can do. Keep on plan and stay off the scale. My biggest stall breakers early on we're actually to eat more and drink more. Other than that, they just ended on their own. I probably even missed a few because i didn't weigh that often.

I'm a month out also and at a stall for a week now. I've upped my Water intake it's not helping. I've only lost 15 pounds since surgery, 30 all together with the 6 month nut visits.

Still on pureed foods which are yuck, like eating baby food. Which I've not done.

Still I'd like to see some extra come off but will keep on trucking if it doesn't. I'm sure in time it will start up again.

I ended my stall by eating more... and that included eating a cup of frozen custard every night.

I think it sends your body out of the mind set that it is starving

I'm in 3 week out. Also had a stall from beginning of 2nd week till end of 3rd week.

Today is my 4th week beginning and i see the scale moving down.

I did nothing, but simply follow my program.

I'm in my 4 th week and at a stall for over a week. Hmm eating more? might have to try that. I've been at this stall to long and only have lost 15 pounds since surgery.

My stall lasted for 2 weeks as well. The scale bounced back and forth between 239 and 241. I finally stopped looking after a week. It's frustrating, for sure! I stayed on my plan part of which is logging everything. I raised my Protein and caloric intake and cut carbs down by about 15g when I did that the scale moved. I'm not positive that that's what broke the stall but it was the only thing I changed before beginning to lose again.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
