I have searched the FAQ and gone through all the profile options, and I can't seem to figure out how to upload my pic as my avatar. Can anyone help?

First, your pic has to be 50x50 pixels, which is teeny. Then, you have to save it to your hard drive, then you have to go to the top of the page and click on 'User CP'(Control Panel), to the left you will see an option to edit avatar. If you have a photo with a clear faceshot and need some help in resizing it, some of us here will be glad to help!

I am also unable to customize my avatar. I don't have an option to browse/upload my own image, only to select from the standard ones. I have uploaded my image onto my profile, but not for my avatar which I would love to do... :cross-eye :cross-eyeI would also like to know how to change the little message under my name next to the avatar.

Go to the USER CP link Located at the top of page.

Click on the Edit Profile in the Left menu box under Settings & Options.

The second box that says OPTIONAL INFORMATION you should see CUSTOM USER TITLE that is where you can change the title to whatever you like.

Some people are not showing this option and some people are not showing the CUSTOM AVATAR option either.

I am getting ready to email Alex and let him know the problems.

Woo Hoo! There you are Betty! Glad to see the custom avatar buttons are back on board. I was worried that I'd never get to update my photo. :D Thanks so much Alex, for fixing all the bugs and making this such a beautiful site! :Bunny

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
