Mellie1776 7 Posted November 22, 2014 I was sleeved on 11/4/14. I am feel like I am doing well. Getting my required 75 to 85 grams of Protein and at least 54 ounces of fluids each and every day. I moved to the pureed/mashed phase on Wednesday and ever since I feel very light headed/dizzy when I walk or drive. Anyone else experience this? And if so, how long does this normally last? Thanks! bobbyswife 862 Posted November 22, 2014 How are your calories?
Mellie1776 7 Posted November 22, 2014 My NUT and physician don't recommend counting calories at this early stage yet. I am just focused on making sure I eat enough Protein and stay with sugar free items
bobbyswife 862 Posted November 22, 2014 I'm not suggesting you count calories for weight loss sake, I'm asking because if you aren't getting ENOUGH calories.... you could be dizzy and weak
SuperDave 1,115 Posted November 22, 2014 +1 on the calories. That could be an issue. Definitely something to talk to your nutritionist about.
sabrowne20 15 Posted November 22, 2014 I got really dizzy when standing once I went back to work. I think it was slight vertigo from being horizontal a lot during recovery! I never asked my doc about it but my calories are good so idk?
Mellie1776 7 Posted November 22, 2014 Thanks for the replies! I was talking to my mom today and I am on a pretty high dose of blood pressure medicine, so I am wondering if maybe I am having bouts of hypotension. I am going to start charting my blood pressure and see if that is what it is. If not, I think i will call my doc. It makes trying to get exercise miserable!
