christina1979 16 Posted November 21, 2014 I believe I'm in the middle of a bout with dumping syndrome. We had a company Thanksgiving potluck and although I ate very very little, I think some of what I thought was "safe" really wasn't and now I feel horrible. It's been past the required 30 minutes to drink and I'm so thirsty but I'm worried it may make it worse. Does anyone know of I'm at least ok to drink while I wait for this to pass??? FYI, this totally sucks
Thinkingthinner1109 485 Posted November 21, 2014 Sorry you feel like crap! I don't have any advice I have never had that. But I hope it passes soon.
bobbyswife 862 Posted November 21, 2014 What all did you eat? That might help.
christina1979 16 Posted November 21, 2014 I just had some turkey (white meat no skin) and ham. Wanted to stick with the higher Protein since I'd only be able to eat a little. I think the ham may have been made with brown sugar though. My fault for not asking ????
AlanaRN 419 Posted November 21, 2014 I don't think you would have dumping syndrome from that.
bobbyswife 862 Posted November 21, 2014 When was your surgery? I think more than likely it was just a little too much. I'm sorry you don't feel well. If it doesn't stop, call your doctor
christina1979 16 Posted November 21, 2014 I confirmed that the ham was coated in a brown sugar/honey sauce. I'm not a big fan of turkey so I had more ham than turkey. I know I didn't eat a lot because I actually had less than my typical meal. Not sure what else it would be but regardless I feel like "????". Just wanted to make sure I was safe to drink because I definitely don't want to feel worse than this. Kinda embarrassing that I'm getting sick at work ????
