I agree with Jonathan and everyone else.. You need a new pain management doctor. Additionally, he does not have the additional experience and training that your surgeon does in this area. Finally, RNY is the so called "gold standard" in wls... it didn't get that way because of skeletons and wheelchairs in my opinion.
