I am now obsessed with blue jeans! Specifically J Crew's Vintage Matchstick jeans....the make my butt look good and DONT have a ton of stretch. I am also obsessed with shopping for jeans....and dresses and button down shirts and tucking in those button down shirts!

7 months ago I only had Old Navy super stretchy "sweetheart" jeans...they were cheap and kind of fit (they were stretched to maxim capacity!), I didn't even try button down shirts and you can forget about ever tucking anything in!

I never knew how much fun clothes could be! Especially considering how much I hated them before!

Do y'all have any new, unexpected obsessions after wls?

I've always been obsessed with clothes and shopping. Now I just find it endlessly fascinating that I can go into a normal store and try something on and have it fit. I'm also obsessed with New York & Company. LOL.

Earrings, necklaces and make-up. I had stopped wearing make-up along time ago and I couldnever fit into a regular necklace. I just started wearing make-up again and necklaces. In particular big chunky necklaces. I do like clothes, but am still shrinking so wearing a mix of old and new. I did do a happy dance when I bought size eighteen chinos. I started off at a 28/30 .

My new obsession is make-up! I never really cared, but now I love to buy it. I only wear it on the weekends so I have more time to "perfect it". I've also become obsessed with jeans. My favorite are Lucky Brand. They actually hug my butt! Definitely worth the price.....although I only buy them on sale. I still can't wrap myself around spending $100-$200 for jeans.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
