Keeper 218 Posted November 20, 2014 It is a gorgeous 71° in Dallas today - perfect for my first walk post-op. I walk 3 days a week to pick up my kids from school. Walking with my energetic 7 and 10 year olds kept me on my toes, that's for sure!
amponder 396 Posted November 23, 2014 You go girl, I am very sore right now but I'm using my treadmill 10 minutes at a time 4 times a day.
Keeper 218 Posted November 23, 2014 You go!!! I wish I had a treadmill, to be honest. It is about 15 minutes, sometimes less, one way, and then the walk home. Dallas is nice for now (weather) but it won't be for long. :/ the only good thing about picking up the kids is that i don't have a choice in the matter, lol. And today seems to be the day I have finally turned a corner, as they say. I have *some* tenderness, but not really sore anymore. I finally shaved today, woo-hoo!! Bandista 7,466 Posted November 23, 2014 Way to go on the walking. I faked liking exercise and then one day it actually started to feel great. I never ever thought that would happen. A lot of head games, trying to get out of it, etc -- nice to have that chatter turned down. Now to get it gone and have a really productive winter exercise-wise. It's a bit harder in the winter, but I have a treadmill, bike and BowFlex in the basement. Mental hurdles be damned, I want to be super fit! Good luck with continued post-op healing and congratulations all!
