leowic 3 Posted November 19, 2014 My wife just had the sleeve surgery on Monday. She seems to be fine, except that she cannot swallow. She has no nausea, she can walk, pee and poo, just cannot swallow anything. We are on day 3 in the Hospital (they have been great) and they are not sure what is going on. It is very frustrating, and she is loosing hope.
Robert Christopherson 3 Posted November 19, 2014 I Had the sleeve Nov 6 the. I SWAlLow and there's a spot it hits and it like puts pressure on my diaphragm for ten sec or so then goes away. Makes taking liquids hard.

leowic 3 Posted November 19, 2014 That is almost what is happening. It hits a certain point, and bamn she is doubled over in pain. Then 5 seconds later it is over.
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted November 19, 2014 Sorry to hear that. At least she's still in the hospital where they can monitor her and keep her hydrated. I hope they figure out what's happening soon!

Jill7768 46 Posted November 21, 2014 I mentioned it at my dr. Office yesterday because I am having the same pain. I was told that it is just the stomach. Since it is healing, it hurts. I was told to drink Water that is tenpin, not ice cold. I am now 4 days out and it is starting to feel better.
