AuriP 420 Posted November 19, 2014 Just a quick question. When did you start posting pictures of the new you on social media? I'm 7 weeks out and really not planning on doing it until I'm closer to goal. Most of my family on Facebook doesn't know I've had surgery and I don't want to tell them anything but it will be obvious I've done something when I post pics. Babbs 14,681 Posted November 19, 2014 All my friends on Facebook know. I have been posting my progress through pics since my surgery almost 3 months ago. I have wonderful support and they love hearing my updates. I understand there are people who like to be more private about it, but obviously I'm not one of them I enjoy the encouragement and support. LipstickLady 25,682 Posted November 19, 2014 I've not told but a few people and I've posted pics all along. Even with almost 1300 friends on my page, I've never been asked about surgery.
Leepers 1,195 Posted November 20, 2014 I have posted a few pics as I got closer to my goal weight but I have not advertised that I've had WLS. If someone asked me what I've been doing I usually would private message them and tell them.
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted November 20, 2014 I don't post a lot of pictures of myself on social media but every so often if I think my hair or makeup looks cute or if my outfit is really on point, I may post a picture or two. I'll probably continue the same way. Who knows? If I didn't think I was cute I might have had this surgery sooner.
