Looking for a winter coat, 30/32 or loose 26/28

Recommended Posts

I'm looking for a fairly priced (okay, cheap) winter coat, preferably 30/32 or loose fitting 26/28. Looking locally too, but thought maybe someone here might have one at hand :). Surgery is next week, and I'm trying to avoid buying a brand new one!

Thanks!

I have a couple that may work for you, both purchased new this past year. One is a brown Esprit quilt jacket with a hood. It's a 3x and was plenty big for me last winter even with bulky sweaters underneath. I also have a red wool London Fog dress coat, I think also a 3x. It's beautiful. LOL I wore that one only a handful of times.

Let me know if you're interested and I can post some pictures later.

I'm definitely interested! It'll be nice to have more than a warm back :).

My fingers are crossed that this actually works...

I don't know what you're looking to pay and I don't know what's fair. LOL Maybe $75 for the pea coat and $40 for the brown jacket? Let me know what you think. Make me an offer! :)

I buy when old navy has sales and you can sign up with an email address and get a 25 or 20% coupon.

I just bought some tank tops and sweats since that's what I'm going to live in for the next year or so lol

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
