Those are natural sugars. I was allowed to dilute those types of juices on my program. It's really not that good for you. If you must drink it I would dilute it to about 25%.

My doctor said that I should be on a low carb diet. So on the diet recommended by my doctor straight apple juice or any klnd of juice would not be allowed unless it was seriously diluted.

I had a bad experience when the hospital also gave me apple juice and it quickly came out the other end.

If drank it my first few weeks out. I would just drink an ounce or two for a meal but I wouldn't drink it once you're able to get down more solid food.

try old orchard healthy balance juices they are made with splenda, 20- 25 calories, like 4g-6g of sugar. i bought this and they taste great and i still do half Water half juice and it works for me. they have apple, pom cranberry, cranberry, and grape all are good. i also looked into diet oceanspray 5 calories no sugar, they are good too and with the low calorie you can drink it as is or with Water and its basically a better tasting crystal light..

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.
