DH is so cute! Gosh I found a good one. When we were walking back last night and I was half keeled over in pain, he was planning my run and where he would be on Sunday. He will take his bike down to the canyon and he has already mapped out my Water stations. :tongue2:So after he gives me water the he will ride is bike to the next water station. This is going to be our plan for the remainder of my training. I am not allowed to do more than a 4 mile run in the canyon without him. Otherwise if I want to run I have to go to the gym where I can have water with me at all times. He said he would write it up in a contract if he needed to and make me sign it since I like to follow rules.

By the time I went to bed last night I had drank around 100 oz of water. When I woke up this morning and peed like crazy :w00t:I stepped on the scale...it was down 2 pounds. I am hoping that it is because I was still dehydrated. Cause I think if at my official weigh in tomorrow that I am down 2 pounds my DH is going to FREAK out. I promise I have been eating all the food that I need to. I won't change anything for another week though because we know that the body needs to adjust. I thought "if I could have eaten this many calories before being banded then I wouldnt' have needed surgery". Then I reminded myself that I was eating upwards of 3500-7000 calories a day pre-op. Kind of put it in perspective. I guess I did have a good metabolism after all...just couldn't keep up with the fast food, candy bars, DQ trips, doughnuts and MULITPLE helpings at dinner. Funny how we think we have a slow metabolism when we most likely do not. Yet another delusion we had!

Tell my DSIL that he is a good man for taking care of you - I am glad you have such a GREAT man...

Ya I love the slow metabolism excuse :w00t: Mulitple helpings of dinner- ya that was me:smile2: But you gotta remember and this is what I forget daily when I worry that the weight won't stay off - is that we have a permanent restriction control - yes that being said we still must eat healthy but we do have some control over our multiple helpings at dinner time

Hey...I just made my 1000th post! Yipee!!!!!! Okay well now this is post 1002!

I think this is my 2,816 post - I have all you beat on this one - this REALLY IS MY TRANSFER ADDICTION :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::biggrin2::thumbup::thumbup:

Even if you are totally unfilled you still have some restriction. For pete sake...I pb'd on chicken the other night. My fault...ate too quickly. I am not used to hunger (never really felt any when filled) so now if I wait too long to eat then I get so hungry that I feel like I am starved and eat way too fast.

I think this is my 2,816 post - I have all you beat on this one - this REALLY IS MY TRANSFER ADDICTION :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::biggrin2::thumbup::thumbup:

Yeah well:tt2::thumbup::tt2::thumbup::tt2: Remember I am younger than you....I haven't had as much time...just wait until you are old and senile...that is when I am going to make my move.

See I can be a rebellious daughter!

I made this really great quiche the other day that tasted just like a mexican casserole. For those that are filled eating 1/6 of it would MORE than fill you up.

3 eggs

1/2 cup FF cheese

1 can of S&W chipotle Beans

1/2 pound ground chicken.< /p>

Cumin

Garlic powder

Chili Powder

Cayanne Pepper (for those that like it spicy!)

Brown the chicken in pam until almost done. Dump in the entire can of beans and let them cook down until most of the juice is gone. In a separate bowl mix three eggs with a little Water, beat until the are a little thicker than just eggs. Add FF cheese and spices (use what you think you would like in terms of amount...I don't ever measure spices..I give my OCD a break). Add a couple tablespoons of the meat mixture to the eggs to temper them. Add the rest of the meat mixture to the bottom of a pie plate which has been lightly sprayed with PAM. Dump the egg mixture on top and mix just slightly to get the egg mixture all around. Bake at 350 for about 1/2 hour or until an inserted knife comes out clean.

If you have a few spare calories and you can tolerate a tortilla, it makes a great burrito. Janet's comment about burritos reminded me to post this here.

Good evening ladies. I am checking in for the day. I went gambling for today. We left at 8 am this morning and came home at 5 pm tonight. Don't ask. Not a good day. My GF and I did the same thing yesterday. NOT A GOOD DAY THEN EITHER!! I have decided that I need to quit going because it could very easily become my transfer addiction. 7_15_4.gif

I AM TERRIBLE!!! HAHA Oh well it is over now and I am not going back for a while....quite a while.

I definately have restriction now. I am really struggling to get my calories in. I am supposed to be on liquids for 24 hours and then softs but I start right out with the full liquids. Last night I was trying to drink a Cambells Soup at hand (creamy tomato) for the 190 calories and I couldn't even drink 1/4 of it and I was so full. It is 9:30pm here now so I won't be eating any more today and I am at 520 calories. Maybe later I will try to eat a SF pudding but I am in no way hungry. I know I need to really try to get my calories but I have to say this not being hungry is great. I am drinking Pre Made SF Carnation instant Breakfast drinks. they have 150 calories in a bottle and 13 grams of Protein so I figure as long as I get a couple of those a day plus some food I will be ok. That damn scale had better move!!!!

I have a question though. Since I have started this Zoloft I tell you I am just exhausted. I know they said that could be a side effect but wholey hell how long will this last? BTW my kids and I have been getting along so much better. My daughter actually said to me tonght 'mom you seem so much more calm and human. I think I like you on those happy pills.' You know what? In the past that comment would have irritated me a bit and today I just laughed. I am finding myself able to keep my kool so much better and in check lately. I really wish I would have done this along time ago.

Take care everyone. And sweet dreams. I am on my way to lala land. (sorry Janet for my version of lala)

Karri - what kind of FF cheese do u use?? I pretty much stay away from cheese for the most part - cuz I have never found a ff cheese that melts and taste good.. I will have to try that frittata out..

Janet you are right about having people around you and that making you want to eat. I require that we have 1 meal a day (supper) together at the table. (ok ONE IN AWHILE BUT VERY RARELY we don't). I am not hungry but yet I want to eat just because that is what we are there for at that time. Summer is alot easier for us. We grill most every night and I have just been throwing myself on a chicken breast when they eat brats or burgers or steaks. Of course that isn't happening now because I am not able to really eat but you get the picture. I do think it is harder with a family. I envy the ladies who cook for small children 3 times a day and still have to watch themselves. I have 2 teenagers so mostly just one meal a day and as I said a few days it is a fend for yourself relaxing night.

:D Oh jackie I SO know what you are talking about!!! I wish my transfer addiction was "clothes shopping" instead of gambling!!! I will be needing some new clothes eventually, but the money I spend at the casino is running out... I think I am almost thru my 'winnings' of 2008... so time to NOT go back. Plus I am looking forward to spending money when we all go to Mall of America in July for our Band-i-versary...

:woot: In regards to the Zoloft, I have been taking it for years (1990) as well as Valproic Acid for my Bi-polar depression. For the first month or so you may find you have some 'starting off' symptoms but as your body gets used to the Zoloft they will deminish and dissapear.. My family too LOVES the fact that I take my meds regularily... I was a mess before a proper diagnosis.

The only trouble I have now (since banding) is WHEN I take my pills... the Zoloft is no problem because I can always open the capsule and sprinkle it on my food but the Valproic Acid is a HARD pill can't be split and burns like a b@stard when it dissolves in my stomach without food around it... so I have to slightly bend a bandster rule and take tiny sips of Water during my evening meal, I have to take my pills between bites of food to avoid the BURNING in my esophogus..

Take care everyone. And sweet dreams. I am on my way to lala land. (sorry Janet for my version of lala) :)

I use Kraft shredded FF cheese. I have used it on my crustless pizza, in the quiche, and on my fajita salad last night and it seems to melt alright. It's no velveeta, but it works for me!

I was able to swallow a little Water before bed last night. This morning I pbed my coffee. We went bike riding, rode 9 miles and after that I was able to drink water. By 4:00pm I could finally get some food down. I feel much better, except I'm camping and my plumbing backed up, if ya know what I mean. So now, I'm a little miserable. I think I'm going find hubby to talk me for a walk. I just drank some metamucil, maybe a walk will help.:woot:

I gotta go, PUN intended.

Factors Affecting the Growth of the Alternative Sweeteners Industry:
Health Consciousness: The increasing awareness among individuals about the health issues linked to high sugar consumption, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, is supporting the market growth. Consumers are becoming more health-conscious and seeking products that can provide sweetness without the negative health effects associated with sugar. This shift in consumer preferences is leading to a greater demand for low-calorie and natural sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol. These sweeteners offer the added benefit of having minimal impact on blood glucose levels, making them suitable for diabetic and health-conscious individuals.
Technological Advancements: Innovations in the production and formulation of alternative sweeteners are impelling the market growth. Advancements in biotechnology and food science are leading to the development of high-intensity sweeteners with improved taste profiles and functional properties. Innovations in fermentation processes enhance the production efficiency and quality of natural sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. These technological improvements are making alternative sweeteners more appealing to both manufacturers and consumers. Enhanced stability, solubility, and sweetness intensity allow these sweeteners to be used in a wide range of products, ranging from beverages to baked goods.
Consumer Trends and Preferences: Evolving consumer trends and preferences are playing a significant role in driving the alternative sweeteners market. The growing demand for clean-label products, which are healthier and free from artificial ingredients, is offering a favorable market outlook. Consumers are increasingly seeking natural and plant-based sweeteners, aligning with broader trends toward plant-based diets and veganism. Besides this, there is an increase in the demand for low-calorie and sugar-free alternatives that support weight management and overall wellness. Food and beverage companies are responding to these trends by innovating and expanding their product lines to include options sweetened with alternative sweeteners, thereby catering to changing tastes and health concerns of modern consumers.
      Alternative Sweeteners Market Report Segmentation:

Various regulatory bodies are approving alternative sweeteners for use, ensuring their safety and efficacy. These approvals provide food and beverage manufacturers with the confidence to incorporate alternative sweeteners into their products. Additionally, initiatives like sugar taxes in several countries are pushing companies to seek healthier alternatives to traditional sugar.
Furthermore, advancements in production techniques are making some alternative sweeteners more cost-competitive than traditional sugar. Consumers are becoming more concerned about the environmental impact of traditional sugar production and preferring more sustainable alternative sweeteners.
