Phyl - I love that you have added your Wii fitness age to your signature. You are the coolest gramma I know!

Thank you!!

I was afraid, being a science teacher,

you might yell at me

for my poison water bottle comments!!

Hey Everybody, what's all this hoopla about? Did someone lose weight or something?????

You girls are acting like someone did something unbelievably extraordinary, like maybe losing over 90lbs in 9mts. Surely that couldn't have happened. It's absurd. Who could transform their body in 9mts?

Yeah, it's really noisy around here today, isn't it??!!!!

Janet--I am really, really, really, really happy for you! It must have been unbelieveably amazing to look down at that scale and see a 5 after the one! I hope that you spent the rest of the day flying high! Congratulations!

Keyboard is locked and loaded. Don't make me use it on you.:biggrin:

Put 'em down....Nice and easy...THere you go... No need to bring out the big guns. I did my 10 miles. I ran 4, walked 5 and ran the last one...Yes that is right you don't need contacts...I ran the last mile.

My legs hurt like HELL. But I feel on top of the world. I am convinced that while this half-marathon will not be EASY, it is most certainly doable. The worst part of the entire thing was how long it took. (2 hours 9 minutes). The best part of the entire thing was that according to the machines I burned over 1000 calories. I had to start the treadmill 3 times!

Janet....are you still soaring! HOpe you can come back to earth and check in with us at some point! But heck if you don't get back down to earth tonight, we all understand!

Thank you! The half-marathon is June 29! That is just fine if you forget. I forget things ALL THE TIME! If my head wasn't attached I would most certainly leave it somewhere! My students would agree.

Phew!!! :cool2: That's a relief. I didn't like the idea of having to yell at one of my heroes. Good for you.

I'm glad you followed through and did your exercises like you had originally planned. My hubby told me long ago that the hardest part about working out is actually getting out and doing it. By that I mean, getting to the gym in the first place is the hard part. Once you're there everything else falls into place. You may moan and complain the whole time, but more often than not you feel better mentally for having made the effort.

For being so good, you are rewarded by being given the pretty hat to wear for the day. Enjoy. :biggrin2:

Awww shucks... I don't think I have ever been called a hero before. Being able to motivate, encourage and be a role model for others has always been important to me. I guess that is why I became a teacher. But now to be able to do it with something that I have struggled with, makes ALL the pain seem worth it.

Well I need to go ice the legs! I will be wearing my pretty hat while I am doing it!:tt2:

Karri!!! You are absolutely amazing. How is your foot feeling? I don't remember hearing much about it since you came back from Eugene. I am assuming it is feeling great, but really I don't know. Have the new shoes helped? Have you decided they were worth the money?

10 miles!!! That is unbelievable. I just can't even wrap my head around that. Amazing.

Now...I need to log my food for the day. I just finished dinner and I haven't checked out my cals today so I'm hoping it is down low enough that I can relax tonight. Might have to wii before bed.

Janet, waiting to hear how you celebrated. Check in!!!!

Steph- My foot is feeling great. It is a little tender tonight...though there really isn't anything below the waist that isn't a little tender tonight! The shoes were SOOOOOO worth the money. There is no way I would have made it without the shoes.

Seriously the worst part of the entire thing was how long it took. I MIGHT have been able to run the full 10 miles and there were times when I was tempted to run because the miles would have gone by faster and I would have been done sooner. I am going to attempt to listen to an audio book next time so that I can concentrate on something other than the slow time!

Okay...falling over asleep. Got to go to bed!

I think Janet's family had an intervention because of her LBT addiction. Does anyone know where the treatment center is so we can bust her out????

Okay alll....I'm getting really frustrated with my scale. Mine is fine but I know when I go in it won't be the same and I don't know how much I will have lost by theirs. So when I don't go in for the next couple of months, how do I track my weight loss? I wanted to see if my scales (yes I have 2) said the same thing and they don't. Even though they sit right next to each other. One said 160 this morning, the other said 155. Obviously I have a preference...but know that both of them are lying. So after my weigh in on Monday, my dilemna is whether I go with the light scale, the heavy scale, or buy a new digital so I can track the actual number (because both of them are rotary scales). I know we talked about that and you all gave me good advice....I just don't know what to do.

I vote for going with the light scale so I can say I lost 17 pounds this month....but that would be soooo dishonest (I would have to drop my beginning weight 10 pounds too I guess). I'm guessing my weight on Monday will be 165 instead...possibly 167 since their scale is always 5 - 7 pounds higher than mine. Maybe I'm lighter in Montana than I am in North Dakota....that's it, they have more gravity!!! I really weigh 155. What do you all think?
