5_1_120.gif 5_1_116.gif 36_31_1.gif 5_1_116.gif 5_1_120.gif

Official weigh in day at our TOPS here at the RV resort.

After 2 1/2 weeks on the road, down 3 1/2 lb!

I know... different scale...

BUT

weighed on my Wii this morning and it showed me down 4 lb,

so I'll happily take the 3 1/2 official.

I was up 1 lb over my ticker weight before we left...

trips we took did that! So finally got to change it today!

Bought a sleeveless top at WallyWorld yesterday off the $3 clearance rack.... yes, sleeveless!

Who cares... hot here!!

And it was not a PLUS size... XL, 16/18!

Go Phyl! Go Phyl! Go Phyl!!!!!!

Sleeveless AND and XL!!! What two better things could have happened to you today???

Glad you are having such an awesome day! Nice to have you settled in Cali I'm sure and enjoying the warmth. It's supposed to snow here this weekend. amazing!

I'll bbl

I have done the research and stand by my decision. You aren't going to change mine and I'm not even going to try to change yours. So let's just agree to disagree and we'll all see what happens on 11/4. I'm not sure where you get off insinuating that I haven't done my research. I feel that goes both ways. There's a lot on her out there on how unprepared she is and it's not National Inquirer stuff. Even many on her own party feel she is not qualified. That is the last I will say on this topic. I have spoken my piece.

Sorry, to disagree with you. Palin scares the sh*** out of me. She is not qualified to be a heart beat away from the presidency.

Too many diverse opinions here, so probably not a productive discussion, but Obama scares the sh*** out of me a LOT more than Palin does! He'll move us right in to Socialism. We're going to pay a lot more taxes and lose a lot more of our freedoms if he has his way. McCain is a man of integrity. Obama has rubbed shoulders with unsavory characters for most of his adult life. The facts are out there.. do the research.

Yikes, I guess we should take political comments to the RANTS section and keep this thread for support.

I feel a tad responsible because a few pages ago I made comment that I was enthusiastically following the US elections with interest.

My SUPER TARGET IS OPEN

Winco will be better for majority of grocery shopping - but LOVE :)

that my Target has opened - no one was there (well hardly) the grand opening is Sunday - So may just have to go wander the store again tomorrow - Andrew went with me tonite - I am broke - but it's worth it..

We dress up at my work for Halloween

How about this idea as a costume..

I go as an AIG EXECUTIVE - wear a suit (the one I got at m of a trip) have a backpack over one shoulder with a golden parachute hanging out - a briefcase with $$$ & travel brochures hanging out...

Do you think I would win

4_1_72.gif

that's pretty original don't you think ???

----------------------------------------

Politics - I think it's useless to debate - you are never going to change another person's mind - we can throw facts (supposed or truths) at each other all day long - but we are NEVER going to convince a tried and true Republican or Democrat to change their mind.

All you are going to succeed in doing is pissing the other person off.. No matter if you are stating a fact or showing where something is untrue is being said about your candidate - it's not going to be believed. by the other person - their mind is made up and there is no changing it...

This is the best smiley of the day..

It's a crap shoot as far as I am concern

Don't feel guilty. There is a difference between following and supporting a single candidate. Some people have strong ties to one or the other candidate and feel very strongly that they have made the "right" choice. If we want to have a lucky 7 political debate I think it should go to another topic. I don't want to say we can't discuss any issues here, but politics can get so heated. I'm not the thread police and do whatever you wish, but I hope you can remember to attack the idea and not the person.

Okay...went out this evening with dh and didn't get a good meal first...lost most of it....and now those few drinks are really sinking in. I'd better go because it's really tough trying to find all my typos and I'll probably say something I regret.

Have a good night ladies....i was down 1/2 a pound this week....thing huge but better than not down.

Talk to you later ladies.

Good Morning Gang...

Phyl

You don't have to stick to the recipe thread

It's ok that you are passionate about what you believe in:tongue: - just as it is for Librity:tongue: -!!! We are all entitled to our opinions - it doesn't make either party right or wrong - I think that's what we all have to understand that and move forward.

Candice it's not your fault - this is our thread and we should feel free to talk about what we want - but I do think that we have to step lightly on this subject - especially if pple are going to get pissed off at each other..

Me personally I don't care who you vote for it isn't going to change my mind about you... I still love :wub:Phyl even though her political views are diff than mine and hope that she still loves me

How sad it would be if we didn't have a choice - it's our democratic system at work..

----------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok I want you guys to give me your opinion about my halloween costume idea --- it's above in my post from last nite - (dress like an AIG exec with a golden parachut - cash & travel brouchures)

Ok it's Friday - Whoopee,... Well, I got tons of stuff on my desk - better get to it... I will cbl :)

Good Morning

I'm almost ready to leave for my class reunion. I'm getting pretty excited. Can't wait, but I have to wait till the mail gets here. Still waiting for my bathing suit. It was shipped last Sunday. I'm going to promise you guys that I will try to be good and make some good choices this week-end. I'm happy if I can maintain. In fact, I'm debating if I should change my target goal. I'd really like to lose 15-20 more pounds but right now, I feel like I'm looking kindof haggard. And old!! I feel like I'm looking good but...........

Phyll - look at it this way.........however we all end up voting, we'll just end up cancelling out someone else's vote. (personally, I agree with you, but we'll just leave it at that) Congrats on your weight loss. Doesn't it feel great. Just wait till you hit triple digits. That's undescribable. AWESOME ! ! !

Janet - Love the costume idea. Though, it might just pass over some people's heads.

Steph - I didn't mean anything by saying replace in regards to my pet. I know you can't replace them. There is no way you can. What I meant to say was that since we no longer have a pet,,,,,I'm at the age where I don't want to bother with them anymore. Kids are grown and gone and let's face it. I'll be the one who has to take care of it. I just want to be able to get in my car and go visit the grandkids without worrying about what to do with the animals.

OKAY, I'M OFF. HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GREAT WEEK-END. I'M PLANNING ON IT.

Morning ladies!

Phyl, if you go haunt the recipe thread and leave us here, we'll just come hunt you down over there. You are NOT allowed to disappear. We miss you too much. We love you too much. Your losses right now are making us all so excited and we get to cheer for you! Your having so many great NSVs that we get to Celebrate you. Don't be taking that away from us.

Kari, you are going to have such a great time at the reunion. You should strut your stuff! As far as feeling old and haggard....it's always hard to tell about yourself. Remember the stress I was going through a month ago about how much more to lose. Posting pics here and letting the ladies see and give me their opinion really did help. Maybe it would help you too. Just a suggestion. You'll probably get some great pics at the reunion this weekend so worry about it when you get home. This weekend just enjoy being beautiful.

Janet, I love the costume idea. I wonder if it wouldn't go over a lot of people's heads. Maybe an AIG id badge or something? I just don't know. But the idea is amazing.

Ummmm...there are other things I want to say but I'd better go wash the kidlets hair...they are in the tub. I'll talk to you ladies later. Hugs. Have a great day.

Kari - Have a great time - enjoy yourself...

As to the age and weight issues - yep - If I lost anymore it wouldn't do my looks any good - You will know when you need to stop -

I work in an office - In fact Insurance :) - so I think they will get it - backpack with gold parachute hanging out - briefcase with AIG on it with $$$ & travel brochures sticking out....

:smile2:

It would have been fine if someone had not insinuated that I had not done my research. It is fine to disagree with someone but very presumptive to say the research is out there. That infers I don't have the facts and my degree is in Political Science and I have watched every debate and read major publications on both candidates. I agree that this forum is not the place for politics and often times it is way off topic of anything to do with weight loss. I may wind up unsubscribing for Lapband Talk as to not upset anyone and so Phyllis can stay on and not have to go to the recipe page.

Oh no ladies, come on. :smile2: Please don't do this. We've never become heated and angry at one another, so lets not start now. I will not take sides in this argument and I will not take sides on the political discussions. I like you both and would be saddened if either of you stopped coming here.

We're all very strong women and I'm not asking for anybody to apologize or feel that their opinion is less worthy than anyone else's. There are no winners in these kinds of disagreements and there are no losers. There are differences and there's nothing wrong with that. What I do ask is that we put this behind us and move forward. Please.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
