Well ladies, I went out and tried to have a good time. I made it about an hour and made dh bring me home.

So I took a bath and really thought about what is going on with me. I am skeptical. 1. vicodin should not have effected me this harshly....especially 1/2 a dose. 2. I was stung by a wasp 2 days ago while riding my bike....and at 70 mph the stinger went in pretty deep. 3. I also drove past a field they were spraying and drove through a pretty smelly cloud of something.

So my thought now is that I've been either herbicided or insecticided. I don't know which but it explains my symptoms more than a bit of vicodin. It explains why my pulse has been a lot slower than normal. It explains the lightheadedness. It also explains why I'm still having problems more than 30 hours after my taking the vicodin. I don't know why I didn't think about it before. I should be feeling better tomorrow or the next day. From what I've read and heard it should be out of my system in the next 48-72 hours.

DH is actually relieved. He thought I was too tight and not telling anyone. He wanted to take me to get unfilled. I am NOT that tight. He said it makes more sense and he knows how to deal with those insecticides and herbicides. He's hoping it was herbicide. He says those are not quite as harsh.....but if this is NOT harsh I'd hate to see harsh.

Okay...going to run. Talk to you all later.

I did OK at DS's anniv. party. Not great, but OK.

Mari--just last week I was telling Candice that Puerto Rico is one place I'd love to go to sometime. I am facinated by hispanic architecture and art, and I love to hear spanish spoken. I've been trying to learn it for the last two years, but am in no way able to carry on more than a very basic conversation. I need to go somewhere and imerse myself in it for a while--maybe when I retire!

Yeah, I've been worn out too since our trip. I thought it was just depression that comes with knowing that I have to go back to work in three weeks and summer for me is winding down. Steph, if you don't start feeling better by Monday, I'd suggest a call to your PCP.

Janet--I went to our local J Jill yesterday and bought the green (retro-hippy) blouse! It's cut really well and looks good on. Now that I've got my wedding wardrobe nailed down it's time to think about back to work clothes. I am one size smaller than I was last spring, so for the most part, I'm going to have to start all over again. I need another excuse to go back to M of A!

Hello Everyone,

My A/C downstairs is not working so I'm sweating like a heffer. Plus I just exercised so I'm extra sweating, I'm working up a nice stench!!! Thank God my house is two story, so the heat rises. If is wasn't we'd be dying.

Steph- I told my DD your fingernail story. She said, "Yeah, it happens." I guess it happens a lot wherever she comes from. Last year my DS was riding his bike while we were camping and something stung him on the lip. His bottom lip swoll up the the Bubba in Forrest Gump.

I went back to work Friday. I truly hate it. This year is gonna suck. I told ya'll at the end of the year I pissed off the cop at our school. Guess he'll take it out on me this year. I was hoping to go to another school.

Karri!!! I can't believe you are pb'ing liquid. I hope it's just because of the steak.

Your pics look amazing. I can't wait to see the clothes on pics. You look absolutely wonderful. I can't believe the transformation in 1 month. Beyond that, I can't believe how your attitude has become so much more positive in the couple months since school got out. I don't think it has anything to do with teaching putting us in a poor state of mind, but you have been so much better and positive about so many things. Your life must just keep getting better and better every day!

You are so inspirational to me. Thanks for sharing all of your journey. It has meant so much to me.

Okay...better run. Went to the drive in and so it is very very late for me to be checking in. I'll see all you ladies tomorrow. Night.

Oh...forgot. Feeling much better today. Did a ton of yard work, went for a bike ride. Still very tight. Never hungry but always feeling like I should be eating. Damn head hunger.

Today, 3/4 kashi oatmeal, 2 cheese sticks, a couple pickles, 2 slices of hard salami (shaved thin), 1 Fiber One Bar, 3/4 tub of buttered popcorn at the movie. Drinking 1 bottle Water, 1 bottle iced tea, 1 bottle crystal lite. Will work on the liquid tomorrow. Just can't seem to get it in. Mowed the lawn (front and back), about 1/2 acre, with push mower, swept and mopped the upstairs....counting it as 1 exercise session...it was hotter than hades out there and I definitely worked up a sweat. Tomorrow I'm going back to walking.

Okay...now I'm really going to bed.

Yeah it was because of the steak...cause with the juice came some of the steak too. IT WAS AWFUL!! Believe me...I am not too tight. I could still eat an entire horse if I chewed it well enough!

I've missed a couple of days but I'll try and read up on threads.

Linda, so super that the anniversary party went well!!! With regards to the depression, have you considered uping your meds?? just a thought. Sometimes I have to tweek mine up during the winter months (my bad time)

Janet, did you get your biopsy results yet? Do you guys have a long weekend there too? Its our CIVIC holiday So I'm off today and getting caught up on laundry before I go back to work this week.

Karri; I am constantly amazed by your healing! Wow, what a great job she did...

Stephanie; I forgot to mention how much I just LOVED your Mom... she is such a doll. Next time, I'll get to the casino with her LOL

Just came back from a nice 70 min hike in Blueberrie Trails with the doggies. DH and I picked some wild blueberries along the way and ate as we walked... it was warm and sunny and NO BUGS!!! Yeah.

Sat. I leave for another week up at my Sisters camp, if I climb that Cliff mountain again I am taking the LONG route (less incline) plus I can try out my new hiking shoes from M of A.

Right now, eating my lunch of Couscous & Chick pea salad from Sat. night. Its the first time I made it but it was pretty good.

CUL:blink:

Good day ladies Please forgive any typo's...I'm really having a problem typing with the bandage on this finger. It makes all my fingers type funny....go figure.

I forgot to mention to you guys that mom won 400 at the casino when we went....I lost 30 but that's not bad for almost 3 hours. It was fun...that's all I can say.

I'm busy the next few days getting ready for the family reunion. I can't believe I agreed to have it here!!!! What the frick was I thinkin.

Schools here start in 2 weeks. I still don't know for sure if I'm teaching, but will find out soon I hope. I'm hoping they hire the guy that applied even though I'm not crazy about him. It's none of my concern as long as they found someone.

okay...gotta run. Talk to you later ladies. Have a great day.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
