the kids are just adorable. how old is the little bloke? it suits you holding him!!!!!! its great when clothes startfeeling too big there is nothing i like more! welcome back!!

My niece is almost 3 and my nephew is 4 months old. It was great to see them, and let me tell you, I can't wait to become a mom, but needed to lose weight before I get pregnant because my weight and high blood pressure would make for a very high risk pregnancy. :) I'm hoping to maybe get pregnant this time next year, but it's all in God's hands, so we'll see.

Morning 7s

I've been thinking of the impending holiday season too. I enjoy cooking. I enjoy eating. I've always made such a big feast for Christmas. We'd have family over to share meals because I always cooked far too much. Now that we live in Texas, there's only the 3 of us (me, hubby, 9 year old son). I don't know if I know how to cook for such a small gathering with no unexpected guests. :straight The past few years I've simply over-eaten before anything spoils because.... well because it's what you do at Christmas. :rolleyes Now I only eat 1/4 to 1/2 cup of food. Normally that would just be my cranberry sauce serving LOL What's a girl to do? There's no way I could cook a whole turkey and not have it spoil. I'm not even sure I can eat turkey yet. I've struggled since my first fill with chicken so I've steered clear of it.

I guess I'll have to research online for recipes for meals for two. But my turkey-and-all-the-trimmings-extravaganza was my THING! You can't downgrade a masterpiece, lol.

:hungry:

Find out if your community does a Thanksgiving dinner for homeless or indigent people. You can do your thing by helping with the cooking and serving and get a real blessing at the same time. Or if there is a college near you, there are always kids who can't or don't go home for Thanksgiving and probably someone at the college could help get you in touch. One community we lived in had a lot of foreign students attending and people from our church would invite them for Thanksgiving/Christmas festivities. Just some ideas for you to think about. :hungry:

I got this from wasabubblebutt - thought it was cute - (I love these kind of things) Think my name is approriate - angel / devil -

Yep, that's my Halloween name according to the following website:

Get your goth name

What's yours?

Way too freaky... I think I'll use my maiden name for this one!!! Apparently mine is "Euphoric Endeavor". If I use my married name it is really gross.

Hi Ladies,

I too find it wonderful to see everybody making progress towards a healthier life. I feel much better already, my energy has gone way up, and I *know* I am going to live longer.

I have a lot going on this week, I don't know what I was thinking but I am hosting 3 parties, there is a potluck at school I need to cook for, and a benefit to attend. In addition, I have to find time to Celebrate my birthday! I guess running around like crazy will be my exercise.

I got my school pictures today and was amazed to see how different they are from last year's. My face has completely changed. I can't tell looking in the mirror, but the pictures scream change. It is weird. Anyways, I will see if I can figure out how to post them later.

Have a great week!

Hope everyone is doing well tonight. Hi Dini! Thanks for the kind words.

I've been having trouble with food of late. Seems everything makes me slime a little the last couple of days. Getting old! Food doesn't seem to be that enjoyable lately. But, can't really complain. Haven't lost in last few days, but think I'll make my goal by the cruise. Would like to be 162 by then.

Take care!

Ruby - 3lbs is fantastic!!!!!!!!!!

Jackie - Maybe I should get the body bug. She sound like you have a healthy obsession.

Brandy - I'm strange but putrified anus is hysterical to me. I think I'll use it.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
