Yes, I have tried to use a heating pad, it didn't help much. The only thing that has provided relief is just laying on my shoulder. Like laying on my side, with the pressure on my shoulder. THAT takes it all away. But it's kinda hard to do that, when I'm at work. :-P

I also forgot to address to work question, everyone here knows what I had done. They've all been very supportive! My co-receptionist here said it made her tummy hurt to see me in pain. I thought that was just the sweetest! And the RN I work had to count my incisions.

The only thing they asked about is my port, and where it's located. And I don't know if it's the swelling I have in my stomach, but my mom and I have poked all around my belly, and have yet to find that darn thing...

That is wonderful they're all so supportive. I've only told a handful of people at work. The ones that I know will be supportive. And so far, they have been. They are so excited for me and can't wait! I'm sorry about your shoulder. I think you should try putting the heating pad on your abdomen (where your diaphragm is) b/c if I understand right, the shoulder pain is referred pain from your diaphragm. Just an idea.

I asked my doc where my port would be and he told me on my right side, slightly below my bra line...so we'll see.

Ash, Can you tell which incision it is? I know mine is 3 times the size of the other 4. There are 4 about 1 inch and 1 about 3 inches! My port is right above the incision! Real easy to find!

Dini, mine doesn't poke out though, lol! And as of yet, haven't popped back up, lol!!!! Sounds like you have been a mighty busy lady! Wow, the steps and the baby!!!! Impressed! I went up a flight of stairs yesterday when we were doing some sightseeing and man, my shoulder instantly hurt!!!! Didn't feel so good afterwards!! Think it was just too steep! Won't be doing that any time too soon! Hope your little one feels better real soon! Hey, that makes her my cyber granddaughter!!!!! How cool is that??????? LOL I can't wait to have grandkids!!!! I keep telling my oldest daughter, that is getting married in June 08, that they can get right on that, lol!!!!! Nah, really wouldn't want them to rush it, but wouldn't be upset if they decided to either, lol!

well your got your cyber granddaugher! she is so amazing. she what keeps me going! i've to put up some new pics of her. I'm so glad I had to outside of Marriage before i would have married adam no problems but not now. After having her my view have totally changed.

I came from a strick Italain family where the boys can do no wrong and the girls ahve to work work work. when my father found out i was pregnant he was not happy at all. he totally insulted me on the phone (he was in italy when i told him)i hung up and he called back straight away to say sorry but i would not talk to him a week later he taught me of gaurd and i answered the phone to him.

everyone taught i'd get married and if Adam had of asked me i would have said yes, thank the good lord he didn't ask cos now i would not marry him well not at this point anyways.

you wanna se the cool tops i'm geting made for everyone going on the cruise! a friend of my (x lover actually) owns his own printing business and he's going to do them for me. there going to be so cute!!!

Hi, Dini,

Spent the weekend in Whistler,B.C. with our daughter & her husband. We had a great time, but I ate too much and gained a couple of pounds. My DH was watching over my shoulder all weekend. Every bite I put in my mouth of ANYTHING I shouldn't have got dirty looks! And this morning we're getting ready to go to a picnic!! OH NO!! More food. I will have to stick to salad.

It took me all last night to catch up on all the posts from the weekend. I just caught up and now we're leaving again for most of the day!!

Good to catch up on everyone, though, and best of luck to all those getting banded today!

:)Dini, Yes, please let us see some pics of this little one!!! I am sure she is a beauty!!!! You are right to look out for her, I am so glad that you can see how damaging a bad situation would be for her. Some young people don't realize the price their children will pay for that type of life! Adam may grow up and get things figured out, but until then, you are right to keep that thought way on the back burner!!! Thanks for allowing me to be Anna's cyber grandma!!! My first grandchild!!!:whoo: It is soooo exciting!!!! Keep me posted, Kid!

Chimboree, you realize this is getting old. I sign off, and when I come back, you are like the first post after mine, always. We just can't get it right. So glad your feeling better. We'll chat tonight.

dmtjet, I'm getting used to the running now. I'm timing it so that I eat a meal before I leave, and then I leave and take a botle of Water with me. By the time I get to where ever I'm going, I usually can stat drinking my water. I'm doing great, and today worried me because I have Hunter, and was wondering how I was going to get him in and out of a cart. So when we got to Walmart, I pushed the cart up to the car and he climbed in, no problems. We're potty training, so when we were there, he said he had to potty, so we went back and there was a bench there. I pulled up, he climbed out onto it, and we went to potty, and then he was able to climb back into the cart, and then later back into my car to go home. I worried for nothing. I didn't have to lift him at all, just held his hand so he wouldn't fall. Piece of cake!!!

AshRae, glad you co-workers are supportive. If the pain gets too bad, ask one to massage your shoulder for a minute. Maybe it will push the gas out of that area!!!

Dini, I'm glad is sounds like you and your father have a good realtionship, even after the pregnancy news. I miss mine so much. He would of been the best grandfather in the world. Hope he finds a way to be financially there for you and Annafransesca when you visit. I'm sure you and she will be spoiled there!!!

Yes Dini, you'll have to post a pic of th Tees. How cool will it be for all of us to have matching shirts on the cruise. They won't know what to do with us, will they!!!

Make sure that they say something like "HOT" on them, or we could use the "PHAT" word, but maybe some won't like that!!LOL!!! Everyone does know what "PHAT" means, don't they???

As for your dad, I understand that situation! That is why I have all of the problems I have with my nerves! My dad and I were close growing up and he was extremely protective and hard on me. I had 3 younger brothers and they did pretty much as they wanted, but me, no way, had to be in, better not be here or there, blah, blah, blah. Well, I respected that and my dad pounded in my head from the time was young, that family comes first, you don't disgrace your family, he would always be there for me, etc., etc., etc. Well, when I was 35, my parents were having problems. As I said, I teach little K4 children. Well, so happened we moved into a new school the same year. My mom suspected from day 1 that my new aide may be having an affair with my father, but I thought, no way, no one could do that!!! She didn't have to take the job, she had her choice!!! Well, this went on for 2 years and I was convinced, even though some things didn't add up, that it couldn't be. It was a very stressful two years. Never confronted her, kept it all in, but one day I got a devastating call from my father, swearing and carrying on, that there was no place I could hide, he would find me, called my whole family awful names, including the girls, which until this time, he appeared to cherish!!! We changed all the locks on our house and were ready to get a restraining order! How sad is that? Later we find out, she said I said things, which I hadn't 'cause I had no proof!!! But nonethess, I was caught off guard and began passing out, lost control of my bladder instantly!!! This continued quite often the next few years, throughout various ordeals, but til this day, I still have problems, thus the overactive vagal nerve ordeal!!! Finally, I have come to the realization that I am better with him not in my life, than in my life! Sad, but how it has to be! Every time I am around him, it is stressful and definitely not good for my health. He is now married to the, let's just say ... person, for lack of a decent term! These days, I surround myself with those I love and make me happy! I know now that I have to look out for myself in order to protect and do what is best for my own family! They come first! So whatever you do, don't compromise who you are or your morals!!! You know what is best and I am sure you will find it deep in yourself when you need to find it! Don't let anyone belittle you, you need to be around and strong for my granddaughter! Hang in there, Kid!
