Got a new hair style while I was in Idaho. The girls say it looks good.

Head to the fill doc on Friday.

Battling some depression, forgot my antidepressants at home. Unfortunately depression = eating. Feeling pretty fat and bloated. I imagine I gained, thought I did okay, but there was more that one Sonic Route 44 strawberry slushes at 650 cals apiece. I'll deal with it tomorrow.

Feeling pretty lost and yep I'll admit it...unloved. Stupid I know, I have great kids, but everything just get too hard sometimes. Oh well, life sucks and then you die.

Hi Everyone,

I got back from TX last night. I went to work today for the first time. I'm soooo tired. I am not a morning person.

Janet- I am already saving money. I have a week off for Thanksgiving. Or if we do a cruise in summer we won't be in N.O. that long. It's hot but a great place to see. If I go on a cruise my family is probably gonna come to. Is that O.K.?

Linda- I am praying everything is O.K. with your daughter.

Karla- Hemmoroids are not the only problem it will also cause diverticulitus. Try metumucil everyday. Just don't take it around the time you take medicine, it will flush it out your system.

Steph- I am also having problems with my DS. I had him drug tested about a week ago. It was positive for weed.

I remember when my oldest brother was a teenager, this is what I heard everyday, "I'm gonna put your ass in boarding school." I guess boys are just tough. My DD was a breeze.

Did ya'll see Earl's post on FB about missing Phyl? Too cute!

Just an FYI...I'm not the hemmaroid person, no big deal though.

food good today, have to make up for the strawberry slushes. I banked some calories for them, so the scale only went up a pound. Not bad.

Only 2 more Sunday's of working at the nursery. Only 3 more weeks of freedom.

In regards to a cruise. I wouldn't be able to afford to go at Thanksgiving. I need to have as much time as possible to save. But then again, the reality is that at my current budget there won't be a cruise next year at all. So plan without me. If a miracle occurs and I have the money when you go, I'll come along.

Peter and I drove all over "hell's half acre" today, looking at MH's.... well we finally found one we LOVE!~!

It has only 53,000 miles on it, 2000 yr, Full Leather interiour, power queen size bed, Bathroom w/shower, plus an outdoor shower too. TV, VCR, MICROWAVE, Fridge/freezer, coffe maker... the works.... but the guy already accepted an offer and a deposit ck from someone else... problem is that #1 guy might not be able to firm up financing by THURS. and if he can't then its OURS.... So keep you fingers crossed o.k.?

DH and I had a fight on the way home, was busy traffic as its the long weekend... tons of cars on the road, plus Peter wants to go cross country... SO I have to navigate with this old torn up map... even though we have a GPS!!! But alas, he dodn't like the route "she" picked... so I am on the hook... now my eyes aren't great, so I'm looking at the road signs thru my glassed and then looking OVER my glasses so that I can read the dang map....ohhhhh marital bliss it ain't!!

So we are home now, but its a wee bit frosty!

food not good today, on the road and just grabbing and going....:)

My Eyebrows are frozen, no more WRINKLES between my eyebrows... I am pleased!:smile2:

Hi ladies. In Bismarck with Michael. We did a bit of bonding today. At least I hope we bonded. I felt good about it.

Did his school clothes shopping. Tomorrow I will be defilled!!! I'm dying to have a real meal. I just can't wait! Going to be awesome.

Karla, remember that you are VERY VERY loved. In case you've missed the marital bliss discussions...it ain't all it's cracked up to be.

Talked to the lady that sold me the kettle corn business and told her about the fair. She said we did much better than they had ever done. Makes me feel good. Especially when you consider the "recession" we are in. I'm very very proud of ourselves.

Okay...time to go to bed. Talk to you tomorrow. Love you all.

Thanks Steph, I know I am blessed and loved. It just seems that however hard I work and try I can't seem to make things better. I'm just want to slow down and not worry about money. I shouldn't complain, I have a home and groceries, and bills are paid (for the most part). I just get down when I realize that so many things are not obtainable. I REALLY want to go on the cruise with you all and have a little spending money. Maybe I can sell some quilts on ebay? Who knows. oh well, I'll survive. I guess I'm tired of just 'surviving'.

Won't be selling quilts on ebay, just did a search and most quilts are selling for about $170 for a queen to king size quilt. It cost me more than that to make one.

Steph, good luck on the unfill. I'm glad you took Michael, let's pray that he will make some better choices.

Need to go pond 'diving' this morning to work on my filter system. The algae decided it liked the hot weather so grew at an exponential rate. Then back to cleaning and organizing my quilt room. Need to get it done as I have a couple of quilts to put on the frame and get quilted. Then DD# 5 started a rag time quilt last year and never finished, so I need to get it done for her to take to the dorms. Then Christmas sewing starts. My goal this year is to finish all those UFO's (unfinished objects). Of course I need to make some clothes for school. My teacher friends that are in China brought me some delicious silk back. They are suppose to be for shirts, but I think I will line them and make them into skirts. The silk we get in the US is NOTHING like the real thing.

Thank you all for your kind words, I am feeling better. Still down and feeling hopeless, but at least I'm not crying.

Have an eye appointment on Thursday, fortunately I have optical insurance. I am hoping to try some contacts. I tried contacts about 7 years ago, but my eye's were too dry, maybe with the newer contacts it won't be such an issue. I'm tired of glasses. Otherwise, I will find some totally fun style and go for the 21st century.

Have a good day!

Welfare

A guy walks into the local welfare office, marches straight up to

the Counter and says, " Hi... You know, I just HATE drawing welfare

checks. I'd really rather have A job. "

The social worker behind the counter says,

"Your timing is excellent. We just got a job opening from a very

wealthy old man who wants a chauffeur And bodyguard for his beautiful

nymphomaniac daughter. You'll have to drive around in his Mercedes,

but he'll supply all of your Clothes. Because of the long hours, meals

will be provided. You'll be expected to Escort her on her overseas

holiday trips. You will have to satisfy her Sexual urges. You'll be

provided a two-bedroom apartment above the garage. The starting salary

is $90,000 a year. " The guy, wide-eyed, says , 'You're Bullshittin' me!'

The Social Worker says, 'Yeah, well... You started it.'

p.s. girls check your email, I sent you the recipe for Cassoulet. :smile2:

Karla, I know what you mean... the costs of materials just to put into the QUILT are WAY more than the $170... people just don't appreciate the WORK and TIME that goes into making one... Their loss eh?

Once a buddy of my DH came over for a Music rehersal... he walks past me in the family room, I am quilting and watching CNN... :he says "what are you doing? The last time I was here (2 wks ago) you were doing the same thing!!"

I replyed that I was making an Heirloom quilt... he says "Geesh, why don't you just buy one at Walmart for $35 ????"""

Peter had to restrain me, I was going to put a quilting needle through his THICK head!!!! :smile2:

Oh Candice, I don't know that I could have been restrained. But that is our disposable society. I have a quilt that I have been working on since 1998, I should be able to finish it this year. I also have spent 2 years on hand quilting a whole cloth quilt for DD#1 and should finish it this winter. I use a hoop for hand quilting so it is to hot to work on it in the summer. I wish we could get together to quilt sometime. If you ever consider coming to my part of Montana, my house is yours. We could lock the doors and quilt for a few days, and then their is the fabulous quilt shop in Salt Lake...um and...well I best stop.

Janet, hugs to you GF... all these female tests... yuk... well the trans vag ultrasound isn't too bad. I found the worst part was drinking all that liquid first... I can't hold my 'water' for very long at all.

YOu'll bb fine, I am possitive that ALL your tests will come back clean... so don't you worry your pretty little head about it o.k????

Think of it as routine maintenance on a Ford Chasis!!! oops I meant Chrysler!!!

At work today, I want to quit... havn't got the guts... there is never a good time to do it... but I think I've made up my mind.... then I think about all my patients that I will miss..

:-( They are the ones I really go in for... most of them, like 98% are super people and I do get attached...

Now Peter is having second thoughts about the RV... OMWord what will I do with him? WE put a deposit down on one yesterday... and today he is saying "we were hasty, I hope the offer dosn't go thru!" ARGH!!!

Saw my PCP & officially started my 6 month supervised diet 07/26/24. She just told me to eat less carbs & sugar, use the air fryer and not fry my foods in grease, and to try to walk 30 minutes 3 days a week & if I can't do that (and I cannot), to walk 10 minutes daily. Told me to walk fast enough that my heart rate is raised.  She didn't give me a number as far as calories though. A year or so ago I was doing low carb/sugar free and keeping my calories at 1800 or below. She said I should up my cals to 2000 at that time, so that's what I'm shooting for now.
Hubby walked with me today. He's in pretty bad shape so I was surprised he wanted to. We walked down the gravel road at a pretty good pace (for us LOL). 10 minutes walking and my heart rate was 115bps according to my Fitbit and 125bps according to his pulsometer. Either way, it was elevated and I was breathing hard. Doesn't sound like a lot, but it's a start. We'll do it again tomorrow. 😁
I should be hearing from the surgeon soon. She said if I didn't, to call him next week. Since I HAVE to do the 6 month diet & that's going to put me into January by the time it's done, I'm hoping the surgeon will let me do all my testing in January. I don't want to do it all now and have my deductible get met, only to have to pay the deductible again in January or February for my surgery. Praying that things go the way I hope. 🙏

Factors Affecting the Growth of the Alternative Sweeteners Industry:
Health Consciousness: The increasing awareness among individuals about the health issues linked to high sugar consumption, such as obesity, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases, is supporting the market growth. Consumers are becoming more health-conscious and seeking products that can provide sweetness without the negative health effects associated with sugar. This shift in consumer preferences is leading to a greater demand for low-calorie and natural sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, and erythritol. These sweeteners offer the added benefit of having minimal impact on blood glucose levels, making them suitable for diabetic and health-conscious individuals.
Technological Advancements: Innovations in the production and formulation of alternative sweeteners are impelling the market growth. Advancements in biotechnology and food science are leading to the development of high-intensity sweeteners with improved taste profiles and functional properties. Innovations in fermentation processes enhance the production efficiency and quality of natural sweeteners like stevia and monk fruit. These technological improvements are making alternative sweeteners more appealing to both manufacturers and consumers. Enhanced stability, solubility, and sweetness intensity allow these sweeteners to be used in a wide range of products, ranging from beverages to baked goods.
Consumer Trends and Preferences: Evolving consumer trends and preferences are playing a significant role in driving the alternative sweeteners market. The growing demand for clean-label products, which are healthier and free from artificial ingredients, is offering a favorable market outlook. Consumers are increasingly seeking natural and plant-based sweeteners, aligning with broader trends toward plant-based diets and veganism. Besides this, there is an increase in the demand for low-calorie and sugar-free alternatives that support weight management and overall wellness. Food and beverage companies are responding to these trends by innovating and expanding their product lines to include options sweetened with alternative sweeteners, thereby catering to changing tastes and health concerns of modern consumers.

Governing agencies and health organizations of several countries are implementing policies to reduce sugar consumption as they recognize its detrimental health impacts. Various regulatory bodies are approving alternative sweeteners for use, ensuring their safety and efficacy. These approvals provide food and beverage manufacturers with the confidence to incorporate alternative sweeteners into their products. Additionally, initiatives like sugar taxes in several countries are pushing companies to seek healthier alternatives to traditional sugar.
Furthermore, advancements in production techniques are making some alternative sweeteners more cost-competitive than traditional sugar. Consumers are becoming more concerned about the environmental impact of traditional sugar production and preferring more sustainable alternative sweeteners.
