Oh, I was just in the kitchen getting my lunch salad. It reminded me of another thing DH does because we're so POOR! Wet paper towels get spread out on the counter top to dry out so they can be reused!!

GIVE ME A BREAK!!!

He is a SICK man!

I wore a t-shirt special for him today.

It says,

"I see your lips are moving

but all I hear is

BLAH, BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!!!"

I showed it to him when he was complaining about DD & I going for manicures this afternoon.

:tt2::biggrin::biggrin::eek::biggrin::biggrin:

Oh my gosh Phyl I am ROTFLMAO while reading this. Peter just piped up and said "what are you laughing at, you woke me up" Poor Petie,, he was into his Sat. Afternoon nap!!!

I emailed you a couple of sites that you might be interested in reading..

When I read the part about the Paper Towels I almost pee'd myself... My Dad used to CUT them in half before he'd use one... they were just too big! Can you imagine, he could have made a fortune if he'd SOLD his idea to the BOUNTY people 30 yrs ago.

Is EARL Scottish or something??? Too funny, well at least it sounds funny from HERE, I am sure you are not laughing at all.

I totally understand about the CHEAP factor. WHen my Hubby and I went to our fin. planner last fall in a panic, he said "aw go ahead and retire in JUNE" you have enough money that if you both die at 85 you'll be leaving your daughter over a Million!!! No freaking way, I am SPENDING IT first.... I'll get a Tummy Tuck and perhaps an eye lift and face pull.... I don't know we'll see once all the weight is gone and the skin finally settles in to all its permanent wrinkles... Right now, the TT is the most important to me... Hey I'm 53 married to a 58 yr old... I don't want to look like a TROPHY wife!!!! LOL:tt2: As long as I keep smiling, you don't see the SAGGING ;-0

I got a BIG surprise for you when you come up in July!! Its already being planned!!! Ha,ha,ha it'll drive you nuts!

Hey, good gyming gal!!! It is pouring rain here YUK! My headache is finally going away, 2 more tylenol down the gullet. I had a little ham salad for lunch... trying to keep things light.. My tummy is still tight from the flu, but I'm gonna live!!! LOL

I have a brutal day waiting for me on Monday, then Im off to the RAMA Casino to meet up with my DS and Dcousin... We are having a girly overnight/gambling fest... Then we are going to go and visit my Mom its her 86th Bday on Tuesday!

Sounds like fun !!! Hope you are lucky !!!

Fund raiser??? Don't be silly! We lost a lot, but there's still plenty there. If I told you how much you would laugh at all this ridiculousness! He just won't use it! And I know another factor is that he says he's researched PS on legs on the internet and he read some scarey stories and is convinced it's very dangerous surgery because of risk of blood vessel and nerve damage. So, it's not just the money.

I've wanted to buy another car for 2 years! We have ONE car, so if he's off cutting lawn for SIL or flying his RC airplanes, he's gone up to 5-6 hours and I'm stuck. And the car we have is 7 yrs old with 91+ K miles on it.. driven miles. At least another 50K of towed miles that don't show. Yeah, it runs okay. Just put money in to it to fix the emission system, brake job and a new tire... ONE new tire. He was so proud of himself because the tire guy was able to match the spare which is still new and not the pretend tire type... so he only had to buy one tire instead of two. :tt2:

And he says we'll reconsider buying a new car at the end of the summer! Yeah, right!:biggrin::biggrin:

I WILL get these legs done.

Fear not!

Just have to back off for a day or two while my emotions settle down.

Haven't been able to eat much all week... and that is probably contributing to some extent, but just plain tight this week. DH insists on cooking everything from frozen, and then it ends up getting over cooked. So, had small piece of fish one night that I couldn't finish. Last night, maybe 3 oz piece of pork chop, that was too lean to begin with, and then got over cooked, so I don't know if I even got an ounce of it down. Then good thing I've been keeping a little zip lock bag with paper towels in it next to my chair... TMI.... sliming in to the bag for a while, but nothing else came up. Many hours later I got down a Calcium chew and one of those little Jello pudding cups. Haven't been able to drink much all week. My latte every morning, usually, is justified by... need the warm liquid so I can loosen up enough to eat lunch! And yesterday, lunch was a small bowl of chicken noodle (which was really barley) Soup at Safeway during my 3 hr cruise around the neighborhood. OH... one of the grocery stores was grilling tri-tip out by the front door, so I had a small piece of that as a chaser an hour or so later.:biggrin::biggrin: It was SO good!

OMG THIS IS TOO FRICKING FUNNY PHYL !!! I figured you guys had more than enought - he's just tight and I bet he is scottish... Cutting paper towels !!! 91K on your car - ya you need a new one - and the whole issue of you getting stranded !!! I would hate that...

It's the stress that's making you tight !!! Earl cooks the fish while it's frozen and meat too - Yuck - I think of it as defrosting too fast and it would make the meat bad - i guess not but - it takes about hr to defrost fish - meat longer - what about that shareing the cooking - are you guys doing that??

I KNOW you will be getting your legs fixed - I have no doubt !!!

Yep spend it Candice - I wish my $$$ was cash instead of land - well do have some cash - but the majortiy is still tied up in land - I want to be able to live the life and not leave it all to the kids...

OMW - these are all the reasons I'm single !!!! I'm too selfish to be married....

Well I'm off to watch a little t.v.

I have gotten nails done- got md cards for dil - food for tonite (bbq ribs) - tomorrow mac salad bbq chick veggies = made a cake for ds & dil - choc - so I will be complaining next week about those 2 lbs again :0) - Planing on a piece (or 2) but that's it - I have some great strawberries...

Ok girls - I will ck back latter...

After all that venting, I had a great afternoon/evening.

DD & I went to get our nails done while SIL & DH did things like wash cars, cut their lawn, try to fix broken tractor, etc. We were gone over two hours and they didn't even call us! We topped off the afternoon at Starbucks before we went home. Then I hemmed two prs of pants for her... they're leaving for 2 1/2 wk trip to Europe on Tues. and DD made us a really good chicken casserole while I was working on the pants. AND we had a glass of wine before dinner. Casserole was great and it was the first time I was able to eat very much in DAYS. So I probably ate too much. I have the recipe.

Yes, HAPPY MOTHERS Day to all of you as well!!! I havne't gotten a call from my DD yet, but alas the day is not over... but I did not get flowers this year... I think she is busy planning the wedding details...

Cals for Yesterday! CALORIESCARBSFATPROTEINnt3_totals2.jpg840,74,29,71

It was a great day! First of all thank you to Stepanie, I remembered a while back she said she used BEEF Jerky to tide her over when she was "out and about" and haddn't planned a good snack to take along. SO I bought some, and its pretty good!!! It saved my BACON yesterday!! I am keeping a package in my purse from now on. Its convenience food, but not JUNK...

I had tickets to COLIN JAMES last night at Rama Casino... OMG was he ever good...

Funny story though; my Peter (aka Earl) does not gamble, so when we go to the casino you have to pick up your tickets several hours prior to the show, but you must pick them up THAT day. So pretty much you're gonna hang around and spend money on dinner, or gambling right??? Well, my smart DH brings a Pocket novel with him... sits in the hotel lobby and READS...while I go lose our retirement money!!LOL

We each take our ticket and go our separate ways until show time, then meet up at our seats, enjoy the show whatever..

So I won $140 on a crappy quarter machine, but it wasn't quite time for the show, but I went tomy seat early(so I wouldn't give back my winnings) Well the theatre goes dim, lights out, first song.... no Peter!!!!

OMG where is he??? Did he catch my flu and is trapped in the crapper? Did he part with a $5 bill and play an machine and win the BIG jackpot???? DId he take this opportunity (after 35yrs) to dump me??? OMG where IS he...o.k. song no. 2... no husband

O.k. now i LOVE Colin James, and by song 3 he HAD me in his hot little Guitar hands!!! Sat thru the whole show and never found my husband.

O.k. now its the standing ovation, so I leave to look for DH.. I go to the piano bar, the hotel lobby couches, the shopping stores.. No DH.!!!;)

As I walk back to the theatre entrance, he comes strolling out with this BIg grin on his face.. "WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU, I WAS WORRIED"... he was in the show the whole time, the usher sat us in differnt sections and differnet rows, we still dont' know who was wrong but it was kinda funny after all.

DH kept giving me Sh!t for sitting in the wrong place!!!

Oh yeah, Happy Mothers day:wub:

Good evening ladies. I hope you all had a marvelous Mother's Day! Karla, I'm sure your girls did something wonderful for you even though you had to work.

My day was good. Michael was confirmed. I'll have to get the pics off my camera and put them up here or on Facebook. He looked so grown up. He has been really good the last few days. We haven't been fighting. He's not been arguing. It has been so nice. I talked to him tonight before he went to bed...about how nice it's been.

Jeff and I just watched License to Wed. I have to stop napping, because now I'm not tired. Imagine that. Did do a little bit of yard work. My back is a bit sore. Took some muscle relaxer. Hopefully it puts me to sleep shortly.

Okay. I'm off. Talk to you all tomorrow.

Hope you all had a great mother's day!!! Yep Steph, my girls did pamper me when I got home. Elyse and Alexa made me a 'spa package'. A bottle of wine, and a whole selection of home made body scubs and oils. AND a 'gift certificate' for a home spa day, including an herbal wrap. They also got me the cutest indoor garden bag with little garden tools and hand balm for the dried out scaley hands. We are trying new healthy meals, so Elyse made cabbage rolls; uncooked cabbage leaves with dijon mustard, guyova (sp) cheese and herbs. VERY tasty. I didn't get home till almost 6 even though we close at 4. People just ignored the closed sign, which I don't mind if they are popping in for a quick emergency gift. But a whole bunch of them just wanted to wander and talk about trees, etc. I really wanted to shout, HEY I'm a mom too and I would like to get home to spend some time with my kids. I'm tired and sore, 2 days of running and lifting has taken its' tole. Any my daughter from Idaho came up, didn't get to see her much, and her and Alexa Rounduped the driveway, weeded the flower beds, stained the boards for the privacy fence, and cleaned the fish pond. My koi are now happy as a clam, one is almost 8 inches long, and I bought him when he was just 2 inches. It has great so great to know I don't have to do those jobs.

Both Elyse and Alexa have big exams today, so they mainly had their noses buried in studying. Elyse has her Anatomy & Physiology exam, Alexa has her AP biology exam. They both are stressed out.

Go to get my fill tomorrow. I did 'chat' with a lady who goes to a fill dr. in Kalispel, they give her a cash discount so it only costs $135 instead of the $200 that I will be paying at Dr. Rohrers, so now I'm wondering...Great Falls or Kalispell. I will stick with Great Falls this time, and if I don't like it I will go to kalispell.

Well, I best go, managed to spend an hour on the computer this morning and now only have 1/2 hours to get ready for school. Oh well, chat later.

Happy Monday ladies. Just wanted to pop in to say hi.

My back actually didn't feel that bad this morning. I didn't get on the wii to weigh in. Guess that will be tomorrow's job. I'm going to try to get on it while the kids nap this afternoon. I'm going to see if I can still do the run. I don't remember if they tell me how far I've run or not.

Karla, good to see your girls took care of you. You are such an amazing mom! How far your girls have gone is a testiment to that.

Candice, I think I'm ready to start that wii challenge. What would you like to do? Is there a way to do it online somehow. I know it is connected to the dsl but don't know what all it does with that. I think if we do it we need to hit all the catagories. I usually only do the aerobic ones but know that my balance, yoga, and strength need done too. Let me know what you are thinking. Anyone else want in?

Car, are you still around? Haven't heard from you. You are my goal girl....you can't just pop off now that you've made it. I am going to get there this summer!!!! I need you to help me.

Well, kids are still goofing off in their beds instead of napping so I guess it's time to go tear into them. I gave them a 1/2 hour to settle in...now it's time to sleep. Talk to you tonight ladies. Hope you have a great Monday!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

      2. BlondePatriotInCDA

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
