casharia 1 Posted November 16, 2014 You know i was nervous having surgery. Believe me when I tell you it not a pretty feeling at first. The pain is no joke but i had pain meds my first day and a half and have not had to take nothing since. The worst part is the liquid diet. You are on liquids and purees for a month . I am in no rush it hurts when i take a drink of anything and all the gas man. I had to figure out what works for me drinking from a spoon is the best way to go it less pain going down and you drink in sip which is best. To those who have not had the surgery get ready it gets better it all about a healthier you.

definiendum 8 Posted November 16, 2014 I'm on POD 18 (Post-Op Day 18) -- I can still relate to you. I felt like I was on an emotional rollercoaster those first two weeks. I felt like I didn't own my body anymore (and kind of still don't); it gets better though. Try using a water bottle with a latch mechanism to cut off the amount of Water you can get in to help with the pain. Also try Gas-X strips, they really help. Gas pain was huge for me during week 2. Hang in there!
