Luckyinluv 30 Posted November 15, 2014 My surgery date is set for December 8. I teach special needs kids for 6 hours a day. Just wondering how much time you all are taking off after surgery.
SID081108 25 Posted November 15, 2014 My doctor wanted me to take 2 weeks off but I couldn't, so I returned to work from home on day 5 and in the office on day 6. My energy was a little low but I survived.
thinnercarrie 8 Posted November 16, 2014 My doc requires 4 weeks but I am doing 2. That said I only work 2 days a week.
SuzeMuze 338 Posted November 16, 2014 I took two weeks off, and am doing fine at work, but get very tired by the post-dinner hour. As long as I can get to sleep at a reasonable hour, I'm ok with getting up and starting it all again. It may also depend on the age(s) of the special needs students you work with, as younger students can be more physically demanding than secondary age students. Beautiful Mess 21 Posted November 16, 2014 I've been told my Dr. will give me 4 weeks off, but I have a coworker friend that just had the sleeve and her Dr. gave her 6 weeks. Different Docs, different rules.
