girlsmith24 1 Posted November 15, 2014 I am 8 days post-op today and am still on the liquid diet. I have been tracking all my intake, and I am lucky to get 400 calories a day. Is this normal? If not, any suggestions? Thanks!
aelovelady 243 Posted November 15, 2014 I never reached 400 calories until week 4!

Djmohr 6,965 Posted November 15, 2014 Sounds right to me too. I am about to start my 7th week and I am still around 400 calories and not seeing how that is going to increase anytime soon.
tamg26k 479 Posted November 15, 2014 I think the only calories I got at that stage was from my Protein drinks (probably only 2 full ones a day). For the first several weeks I focused on Water, Vitamins, Protein, and calories, in that order. It will definitely get easier to get the protein and the calories in daily. Best of luck! girlsmith24 1 Posted November 15, 2014 Thank you guys very much. Most of my calories are still coming from my shakes, it just seems (in my head) like this can't possibly be enough.
micmt 120 Posted November 16, 2014 I'm the same. Most of my calories have been with Protein Shakes and I can only do 2 of those a day. Less than 500 cal a day. Been this way for about 4 weeks now with the preop diet being three shakes a day and all the Water I want.
