BandedMi 13 Posted November 15, 2014 hello. I was wondering about how much food to eat in a sitting. Aim for a cup? Like a cup of chili? Or is this too much?
briefs199 337 Posted November 15, 2014 I'm no veteran. I was banded 11 days ago but I was told a half cup early on and then up to a cup.
lasunshine 28 Posted November 15, 2014 (edited) My surgeon and nutritionist have had me eating 5 Oz of food every 4 hours. It has worked very well for me. However everyone is different. What did your surgeon suggest? @@BandedMi And of course as you start to get adjustment the food intake will go down even more. I make sure that 3 Oz of each meal consist of Protein. Also I drink a lot of Water in between all day it helps as you will become very hungry until adjustments start happening for you. Leepers 1,195 Posted November 15, 2014 My surgeon is different. He didn't care how much I was eating as long as I was losing. I ate low calorie, low carb and made sure to stop eating when I was no longer hungry.

neenee717 37 Posted November 15, 2014 Aim for at least 1/2 cup to 1 cup. I was told make sure the Protein is 1st. I was also told to be careful of Soups and stews. It also depends on where u are in your recovery
