kimpossible67 608 Posted November 13, 2014 I sometimes get a footlong tuna sub with lots of veggies at Subway. It's quite a few meals but it gets soggy quick and my boxer is more than happy to eat soggy tuna. SOOO, I had a brain fart the other day. I wondered if explained my situation, would they accommodate me. They kindly did. WL WARRIOR 692 Posted November 13, 2014 I got a card from my bariatric center that allows bariatric patients to order off the kids menu when eating at restaurants. You just show the card to the wait staff/restaurant emplyee before ordering so they don't object to you ordering smaller portions off the kids menu. I don't plan on eating out since I've had surgery, however.

Maybe my surgeon's office would know something about this? Interesting...
kimpossible67 608 Posted November 13, 2014 I have the card however I'm the type who has no issue with eating the same leftovers for days. This worked out perfectly for me. I cut off 2 1/2 inches of bread and make a tiny sub. I still peel off the thick part of the bread for the dog. I don't consider eating at subway eating out. My experiences with eating at restaurants is too much sodium or sugar. I am no sugar, low sodium. Subway works well for me.
Camarolegend 185 Posted November 14, 2014 Try Jimmy Johns u wick. No bread or carbs and low calories. It's a great option. The sandwich is wrapped in lettuce. You can use your hands to eat it like a regular sandwich.

kimpossible67 608 Posted November 14, 2014 Well I ended up using less than half of the bread. I turned my side veggies into a salad and ate the tuna with a spoon! How does the unwich do in the refrigerator? Can you get days worth of meals with it? Does the lettuce stay good?
