kikicoates78 220 Posted November 14, 2014 I'm 3 weeks out and on purée/soft foods. I skipped the purée. And just eat soft foods. I only have one more week till I'm on regular whole foods. Seems like u all are on extremely extended liquid phases? I don't think I could have done it that long. I'm eating Beans and cheese, eggs, full Soups like chili, broccoli cheddar, and veggie Soup. I even minced up so me grilled shrimp on my birthday. All has been fine.

kikicoates78 220 Posted November 14, 2014 I was only on Clear Liquids 24 hours! Released home from the hospital on full liquids for 10-14 days as tolerated. And then purée/ soft foods for 10-14 days as tolerated. Then on to your normal foods. So within a month on reg lifetime diet.
kikicoates78 220 Posted November 14, 2014 I also had to keep a thorough food log for my 2 week post op and my surgeon went over it with me and it was all ok. It's kinda funny to see all the different ways they do things!
BLERDgirl 6,417 Posted November 14, 2014 I was only on Clear liquids the day before surgery. I was sent home on full liquids and went from that to soft foods. @#9grammy - It also sound like you are weighing yourself too frequently. You should weigh yourself no more than once a week. Personally I don't weigh myself at all It's too much extra stress to add to the mix. Instead I focus on getting in my Protein and Water and exercising regularly. I was last weighed on 11/3. I won't weigh myself again until I see the doctor in December.
