DarthVixen 29 Posted November 12, 2014 Ive been looking at bariatric recipes and have noticed a lot of people replace bread and carbs with won ton wrappers. I've seen them used for tacos, sandwiches and other things. Has anyone tried it! They literally have nothing in them and it's 50 calories for 3 and let's face it, we can hardly eat three of anything. Lol. Pretty much just have only Protein.
zebra_print 9 Posted November 13, 2014 Do they have a brand that uses whole wheat instead of enriched? I don't eat enriched anything now, and I think I'm going to keep that habit even after surgery. This sounds like an amazing alternative to bread and tortilla btw.
DarthVixen 29 Posted November 13, 2014 This was the only brand my store carried. Maybe a whole foods, trader joes or sprouts may have a better kind.
DarthVixen 29 Posted November 13, 2014 Worked wonderfully. Even my husband LOVED them! He turned down his Doritos taco shells for the win ton bowl. Highly recommend!!
zebra_print 9 Posted November 13, 2014 I love it! If only I could get my husband to eat vegetables. Lol! He's worse than a kid sometimes when I cook but he has no choice because he can't cook anything that doesn't involve a microwave :/
DarthVixen 29 Posted November 13, 2014 Haha lucky for me my husband will eat anything as long as it doesn't have raw tomatoes or peas in it. Haha
Djmohr 6,965 Posted November 13, 2014 I cannot wait unti I get to the stage where I can use a wont ton wrapper for a taco shell. I miss crunchy stuff and raw veggies. I would kill for a salad!
