Jerry Fallwell, Dead

Recommended Posts

The only downside for me is all the time I spend on my a$$ at the computer instead of moving my a$$ burning calories. At least we aren't watching TV. I've read that watching TV burnes fewer calories than just about everything!

Glad you decided to jump in here. R & R can really bring out the beast in folks. My DH wonders why I've become so much more vocal politically lately. Poor thing. He's a very conservative Catholic, who's worked in the military defense sector and votes Republican. Well they say opposites attract. We're living proof! :biggrin1:

Dang Mark! Why didn't I think of that. I could solve the problems of both abortion and adoption in one fell swoop. :faint:

Not to get off topic, but let me tell you, participating in the RnR section really has helped me stay away from the fridge. I could never see the appeal, but it has done wonders to help decrease my appetite, LOL.
Oh, it does, doesn't it? It's wonderful. I love RnR. It really was what drew me to LBT. I mean, otherwise, support sites are basically a dime a dozen. RnR is what makes LBT special. And it really is helpful to the members, IMO. As long as I am absorbed in a thread here, I'm not craving food or binging.

Remember, sexual orientation is a choice, it's not something you are born with. So compulsory gay marriage should not be a problem for anyone. People can simply "choose" to be attracted to the same sex. If people have any residual problems with this they can join programs where people hit pillows and things to deal with it. And if this one simple solution resolves so many social problems, there is no reason why it should not be made compulsory. After all, "Legislature Knows Best."

Here, let me start.

Hey, 396Power, you look kinda cute. Do you really have a beard? What's your sign?

At least the two of you would not be able to reproduce.

I figured it had to be something on the primal level. I knew it wasn't his irresistible wit, or his charming delivery.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
